Jennifer Under the Juniper Tree. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Whats Blooming in the Yard. Gardening in my yard did not get off to a great start in the spring. We had so much rain that I didn't get any seeds planted.no zinnias for me this year. :(. I finally planted some perrenials a couple weeks ago and so far they are still alive, even with our current heat wave. I have been snapping some pics along the way, so here's a catch up post on what's been blooming in my yard. I'm thinking they had too much rain.

Jennifer Under the Juniper Tree. Friday, July 24, 2015. Gary and I went downtown last night to see the movie "Inside Out." (It was very cute and I CRIED! I had the whole day off today, so I finished up the little t-shirt sleeve quilt. For the back, I sewed together some leftover polar fleece strips I had from other t-shirt quilts. I had just enough! I used the envelope method to finish the quilt. There's no batting and I quilted it with simple straight lines. This quilt measures 41" x 43".

My sewing, quilting and creative life. Friday, July 17, 2015. A finish or two: Sweet and Baby! It has been far too many months since the birth of my 'great' nephew. I persevered, put my nose to the grind stone, bit the bullet and got this little guy quilted. This quilt is a kit with a bazillion kona solids in it by Robert Kaufman. Super easy but how to quilt it was a baffler! I ended up with straight line directional quilting lines in Aurifil gray. Totally fun quilt idea.right? July 17, 2015 at 9:46 PM.
