Bleecker Mountain Life: May 2015
http://bleeckermountainlife.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. Anyone who follows this blog, or my Drift Away blog, knows that I love photography. It is something that I enjoy immensely. While in Savannah traveling aboard Drift Away, I left my point-and-shoot outdoors and it got rained on, and rain and electronics don't get along. Pamela convinced me to buy a halfway decent camera, and so I bought my basic Nikon D3100 DSLR. What a great camera! All pics were with the 18-105mm lens. The goats LOVE beer. And pretzels. And man did it rain. On th...

http://bleeckermountainlife.blogspot.com/2015/08/our-first-harvest.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Pam harvested our garden yesterday, and fetched this tomato! The blackberries were growing wild. It really feels good to grow your own food. August 5, 2015 at 8:14 PM. I would think Sasquatch would eat all the Blackberries. August 6, 2015 at 11:54 AM. Nothing could be finer than Wild Blackberries. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 5 Acres and A Dream. Bleecker Mountain Life: The Run-in Shed is 99% done
http://bleeckermountainlife.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-run-in-shed-is-99-done.html
Friday, August 14, 2015. The Run-in Shed is 99% done. I finished the left hay loft door, and cut and screwed into place the right door. I installed the hinges first. Then I screwed a strip of wood above the lower right door and set each vertical board in place and screwed it in to the beam. If it didn't rain, I would have cut and screwed in the door braces, a simple half hour job, and then unscrewed the door from the beam. August 15, 2015 at 8:09 AM. How many months did it take to build the run in shed?

25 Acres: Gentle Melodies on Breezeless Air
http://25acres.blogspot.com/2014/10/gentle-melodies-on-breezeless-air.html
Saturday, October 25, 2014. Gentle Melodies on Breezeless Air. Frisbee flies and football spins over a flood lit field in front of me. Splashes and laughter from a pool behind me. Guitar and gentle melodies over my left shoulder. The air in undetectable. Perfect. It is Saturday night and I am at Grand Canyon University. How I would love to be 20 again and part of the fabric of this place. A skateboarder hitches a short ride at the back of a campus golf cart. My heart fits here, anonymous as I am right now.

chthonosis: November 2011

Being a vaguely true account of the trials and tribulations of a man and his allotments, a garden and the world at large. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. I do occasionally try to save some seed. Fnar Fnar, settle down at the back there, or you'll be in at lunchtime, writing out "I must not laugh at saving seed.". Anyway, I do. Usually beans and peas, but this year I've saved some winter lettuce seed as well. Let's see how they turn out. Last year's runner beans were useless at sprouting. Give it a look see.

Being a vaguely true account of the trials and tribulations of a man and his allotments, a garden and the world at large. Thursday, January 28, 2010. To Dig and To Dig and To Dig. Did some more digging and weeding on the plot of clay, after some thought, naturally,. To dig or not to dig – that is the question:. Whether 'tis easier on the back to suffer. The stings and scratches of outrageous brambles,. Or to take scythes against a sea of nettles. And, by opposing, end them. To sigh, to sweat. Than fly to...

chthonosis: The Millennium
http://twoallotments.blogspot.com/2011/10/millennium.html
Being a vaguely true account of the trials and tribulations of a man and his allotments, a garden and the world at large. Monday, October 17, 2011. I thought something had happened. Possibly it was the long line of people wandering around the allotments whipping themselves, and calling on god, or as you know him the chair of the allotment committee, to give salvation, or maybe it was those four horse men that cantered through the other day. But I definitely thought something was up. Another success were ...
