Come See About My JVC Journey. About Me and Volunteering. A Glimpse of My Day. Thanks for the interest in my life, please know I am always eager to hear/read about all of yours. Sorry for the length! Exiting the bus, you can see the colorful mural that marks the walls of Pajarito. You cross the 4 ...

Come See About My JVC Journey. About Me and Volunteering. I know that I have been away from my blog for a while now, but I hope to write a bit more frequently in order to continue to share about my life here in Nicaragua. With December quickly approaching, I am coming upon the time of entering my 2. Year as a Jesuit Volunteer, which means many things receiving new volunteers and beginning a new JV community, saying goodbye to my current 2. For nowhere is the house I live at and the people I live with!

Come See About My JVC Journey. About Me and Volunteering. As many of you may know, this day marks my 1st month in-country! My past 3 weeks have been filled with two different homestays and another homestay that was connected with a week of language school. I’m going to talk a little bit about my homestays. The first homestay was in my barrio, Ciudad Sandino and the second was in a more rural setting called Arenal. To Love and Be Loved: 1st Week of Work →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Thursday, June 6, 2013. For every difference that makes us unique, we have a common bond that connects us. We each share the need for home and community, for love and respect. Monday, October 31, 2011. I realize that I didn´t get a post up for September but that does not by any means imply that it was a month lacking in stories and activities. In fact, it was quite the opposite which is why I am just now getting around to writing this. Here´s a quick snapshot of a few of the highlights. Adrienne in Nicaragua: Compassion
http://adrienneinnica.blogspot.com/2012/02/compassion.html
Saturday, February 25, 2012. What does it mean to be a true neighbor? Why is it so hard for me sometimes to be patient with my community mates, people I know and love, or to take the time to sit and listen to a close coworker share about what is going on in her life, yet for this man at the market sharing come so naturally? What if we create the space for conversations to form organically in our houses and communities, thus growing in confianza. Together even if no words are exchanged?

Jenn Burleson Mackay - About Me
Journalism is an addiction. Once someone develops the raw passion for reporting, he may never fully recover. I worked as a television journalist in Tennessee. And later as a newspaper reporter in North Carolina. I still suffer from the journalism addiction, but instead of chasing cop cars or investigating scandals, I try to help my Virginia Tech. Students find the same love for journalism that I still have. My primary research interest. Please browse around my site to learn more about me and my work.

God gave me opportunities to see His will in every stress and anxiety. YES, I RECEIVED NOTHING I EVER WANTED. Ask, Seek, Knock. And it will be. Once y...
