My second book choice was another book from the to read shelf of my bookcase (by now, you can probably guess that this is a very full shelf. Having a Barnes and Nobles on the corner of my street in NYC for 8 years turned out to be a drain on my finances and my book shelf space). Is it to teach kids to write well? Or is it to teach kids that the written word has power?

Last night I made a vegan miso/pea/kale/mushroom/quinoa risotto… so good, and a a big hit with my 2 biggest critics (T and A)! MisoPea.Kale.Mushroom.Quinoa.GREEN.Risotto. 1 large onion, chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup arborio rice. 1/2 cup rinsed quinoa.
