Jenny Cooks

Friday, August 12, 2011. I have an ARC of Quick-Fix Vegan. By Robin Robertson, and will be trying a few recipes from it to aid my review of the cookbook for NetGalley. This is a great recipe for people who have more greens than they know what to do with! I can't get enough greens. I'd love to try this recipe again with radish greens, which just happen to be my favorite. Posted by Jenny Colvin. Saturday, August 6, 2011. They aren't crunchy any longer at this point anyway. Jenny Cooks: November 2009

http://jennyalsocooks.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 22, 2009. Pan-Fried Pumpkin Gnocchi from Steamy Kitchen. From Jenny Also Cooks. Ever since giving in and setting up all the blogs I follow on Google Reader (best invention ever), I find it easier to catch up with some of my favorite cooking and baking bloggers. But then they post recipes I want to try making. Over at Steamy Kitchen I stumbled across this recipe for Pan-Fried Pumpkin Gnocchi with Sage Browned Butter Sauce. Posted by Jenny Colvin. From Jenny Also Cooks.

Jenny Cooks: June 2010

http://jennyalsocooks.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 18, 2010. What to do with cabbage! From Jenny Also Cooks. Sorry for posting two entries right after the other, but I've been doing a lot of new recipes lately because of all the garden produce. You see, I grew a few things that I wasn't sure I actually liked, cabbage topping that list. I just never really know what to DO with it. You can only eat coleslaw so many times, plus I'm not really sure I like it to begin with. The last cookbook I purchased was Simply in Season. Posted by Jenny Colvin.

Jenny Cooks: Salad Duo

http://jennyalsocooks.blogspot.com/2011/07/salad-duo.html

Sunday, July 17, 2011. Shredded Kale with Lemon and Parmesan from my friend Melody (originally from Weight Watchers. And Gingered Beet and Field Pea Salad from Simple, Fresh, Southern. By the Lee Bros. I didn't have a shallot, so I used one big garlic clove in the kale salad, and let it hang out in the fridge to mellow a bit. I also used four kinds of kale plus a few leaves of radish greens, just whatever looked good in the garden. Posted by Jenny Colvin. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Greenhorn Gardeners: January 2011

http://greenhorngardeners.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 2, 2011. This will be our second year gardening, and we don't want to bite off too much. Here are a few goals we hope to accomplish in 2011. 1 Order seeds from seed catalog. This is supposed to be one of the fun parts, and adds diversity you can't get at the grocery store. The biggest challenge in this will be not to diversify too much! 2 Defeat the kraken. 3 Play with worms. Haha, guess we'll be learning). 4 Find a new tree to replace palmetto. We should have done this in November but th...

The Winds of Change...

The Winds of Change. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Chapter 1: Take off the hazy glasses, friend. Chapter 1 covered the “what if” fears. 8230;There are two sides to the “what if” coin that must be addressed to really recognize it as a stronghold. The first idea is that something might happen in the future, and the second is the fear that we made a poor decision in the past and life could have resulted differently. We all play the “what if” game from time to time. What if I had made a different decision? I think ...
