Tuesday, Aug 24 2010. When I was a little girl of about 5, my parents went to NYC so Daddy could get some continuing ed hours. Happily, they attend a new Broadway Musical named Annie. In High School all three of us were in the very musical that defined so much of our childhoods. It was fun to revisit all the songs that were part of our daily lives for so long. We all played orphans (Melissa in a production years after Katie’s and mine), so it was like revisiting childhood as well. Enter your comment here.

Saturday, Sep 26 2009. Caroline Emma and James Price were agreed upon tentatively. The discussion was never had in depth though because a terribly mean woman came into our lives and changed us all forever. Her name was Katrina. The upheaval that Katrina introduced into our lives was enormous. With that natural disaster also came the loss of Frieda. Keeping with what we started with Travis we used his other grandfather’s name as his middle name. That of course is where Theodore came from.

The disappointment ending each season was ingrained in me until 2004. I still have the same Pre-World Series Championship pessimism when it comes to the Bosox. First Day of Kindergarten. Friday, Aug 12 2011. His latest obsession is nesting dolls or upsie doozies as he calls them. He spends hours assembling and disassembling them each time matching the patterns with the precision of an air traffic controller. They are a tool used for reward and punishment. I have even used them in explanation of concepts concerning size. He has his flaws, but they are far outweighed by the remarkable attributes that he possesses. And Off to Kindergarten.
