First Draft: April 2006

Friday, April 28, 2006. Still Find Myself Chuckling . . . When I think about last night’s book signing with Stephanie. I’d been reading her blog for a while now and almost felt like I knew her (in that slight Internet-obsession sort of way), but I was really surprised to hear her speak. Y’all, she is very funny in print, but in person she was absolutely HI-LARIOUS. Threaded Bliss was pretty well packed. Two finished discloths, one stinkin' funny book. Posted by Katie at 10:29 AM. First Draft: February 2006
http://katietheraveler.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 23, 2006. Knit furiously, fingers flying. Rip furiously, yarn flying. Repeat at least four times. So maybe I'll finish it by the end of the Olympics and maybe I won't. Oh, well. I will still finish it sometime! Posted by Katie at 5:52 PM. Monday, February 20, 2006. The sleeving is begun. I haven't quite finished the body, but I'm waiting to see how much yarn the sleeves will take up, and then I'll know how much I have left to finish the body. Posted by Katie at 5:27 PM. Which brings me...

Tuesday, February 13, 2007. 10 favorite places in your hometown. I've been tagged by Jennifer. For her 10 on Tuesday meme. Little does she know that my hometown of Hope, MI. Doesn't actually have 10 places. So I've widened my scope to Midland County, in no particular order. 1 the Santa House. 2 Hope United Methodist Church. 3 Lily Lane Knits. Due to her vomiting.

The Beat Goes On: Taking Stock
http://the-beat-goes-on.blogspot.com/2008/10/taking-stock.html
The Beat Goes On. Thursday, October 09, 2008. That’s hello for all the gringos reading. With all the bad news that we’re being bombarded with lately that seems to be literally going on worldwide, and fear of losing everything growing daily, I’d thought I’d take stock of what’s really important:. A Wife who loves me and shares the good and bad. Children who continually amaze me and make me glad their mine. Friends who care and share. Pets that love unconditionally and make me smile. The Beat Goes On: August 2006
http://the-beat-goes-on.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
The Beat Goes On. Thursday, August 31, 2006. In my post dated July 20, I spoke about having a passion in life that stirred your soul. Today, I find myself wanting to build on that, partly because of a story I read, and partly because of events happening to me personally. Since the events are personal and I respect the other individuals privacy, I won't share them. But here's the story:. The rookie replied with a puzzled, "Huh? Williams repeated, "Just watch the stitches.". The stitches on the baseball!

The Beat Goes On: Farewell 2008
http://the-beat-goes-on.blogspot.com/2008/12/farewell-2008.html
The Beat Goes On. Saturday, December 27, 2008. The last post of 2008 issues a challenge: Share some highs and lows of 2008 and what your hopes for 2009 may be. I'll go first. In looking back and taking a big picture view, 2008 has brought it's share of loss:. I lost a pastor and friend whose vision and leadership both challenged and fulfilled the work I do. (Lost = he moved to a new ministry). With the economy taking it's toll in all our lives, I find myself losing my perspective of doing what I want.

The Beat Goes On. Friday, September 26, 2008. The Same Ol', Same Ol'. Back after an extended hiatus and glad to be blogging again. I hope that the last couple months were kind to you and that you are well. I’ll let you define that. In my last entry, I stated that when something arrested my thoughts I would share herewell, here I am. When we don’t know what to do, we do what we’ve always done. I know this could be a topic of it’s own, but let’s stay on point. Now look inward, are you stuck? Never again wi...

The Beat Goes On: March 2007
http://the-beat-goes-on.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
The Beat Goes On. Friday, March 30, 2007. In a place where it's normally pretty dry, keeping up with mowing the grass isn't usually an issue. But a little rain, which is a life giving substance for plants, has changed the landscape for now. It's green and growing, where most of the time it's a more brownish hue without the help of a sprinkler system. Life for me is like that too. Posted by Tom @ 7:24 AM. Links to this post. http://the-beat-goes-on.blogspot.com/2008/05/danger.html
The Beat Goes On. Thursday, May 29, 2008. That’s Texas speak for hi , if you didn’t know. So, continuing the thought of the current day church being broken and far removed from what Jesus intended when He said to Peter,. Upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Matt. 16: 18-19 NLT. So I ask you, is the church of today threatening or dangerous at all? Let me repeat following Jesus isn’t an institution or r...
