My studio in South San Francisco, CA. The process starts with sculpting tools, an electric heat-pen, and several kinds of wax that vary in flexibility. A sculpted model of a ring with two roses. The models are attached onto a rubber base. A steel flask is secured over the base, with a tree of ring models inside. A slurry called "investment" is created over the pieces. A daughter of Korean immigrants, Jenny was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1977. Growing up in L.A., her upbringing was enriched by the city's cosmopolitanism and cultural diversity, plus a good ten months of beach weather each year. She left the beach eventually, and moved to Berkeley in 1995 to attend the University of California. She continues to reside in the San Francisco Bay area. Jenny Kim Geyer, (*1981 in Darmstadt), Redakteurin. Schon früh entstanden die ersten Texte: Gedichte, Geschichten, Gedanken formten sich zu Worten. Während des Soziologie-Studiums ging es schreibend weiter, nun aber “akademisch”. Nebenbei jobbte Geyer als Texterin und Bookerin für ein Gitarren-Ensemble und erledigte die dortige Pressearbeit.
