Art is inspired by nature, often unusual places seen on her travels. Painting in oil on canvas or working as a printmaker with inks and presses, she abstracts from the drawings made in numerous sketchbooks, seeking to recreate the mood of the place portrayed. Her travels to China, India, Bhutan, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Norway and the Arctic, and recently Antarctica, have engendered many hundreds of monotypes, each a unique painting offset onto paper with the aid of an etching press.
