My Book Challenges: March 2009
http://rachbookchallenge.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Book Review-The Book Thief. Good book. I liked how death was the narrator, made it different. I like to read stories in this Era, however, it is such a sad time to me for the Jews and also those who helped the Jews. I didn't feel the really depressing sadness with this book that I usually feel when reading about the Holocaust. I didn't give it 5 stars because although it was a great book, it wasn't one of my absolute favorites. I still would recommend it to all. Whats in a Name.

http://shoesreading.blogspot.com/2009/03/sum-of-our-days.html
Saturday, March 28, 2009. THE SUM OF OUR DAYS. Product Description(from Amazon.Com). This is a wonderful, witty, and loving book! I really liked it. Isabel Allende is very frank about her life. The death of her daughter, her son's divorce and remarriage, and all the people she seems to "adopt". Very moving book! Thank you for the invite to this blog. Here is my list of books:. 1 The Sum of Our Days: A Memoir - Isabel Allende. 2 Clear Springs: A Memoir - Bobbie Ann Mason. 4 Dog Years: A Memoir - Mark Doty.

Teh gift of storytelling was a part of her Irish ancestry, so it followed that she would later use her sharp eye, keen intelligence, and inquisitive nature to create stories about the people and things she observed. Those who responded proved to be a colorful lot. In Kitchen Privileges, she reflects on the joy that her life...

My Book Challenges: Book Review-The Indian in the Cupboard
http://rachbookchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/02/book-review-indian-in-cupboard.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Book Review-The Indian in the Cupboard. I read this book as a kid and thought it would be fun to read again. I always thought it would be such a blast to have a magical cupboard that would make your toys come alive. This book is about a medicine cupboard that a young boy got for his birthday. His mother gives him a special key to use for the cupboard. He put his toy Indian in the cupboard and when he wakes up in the morning he finds that the Indian has come alive!
