Two Coconuts: June 2009
http://asleson.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Our Peace Corps adventure in Tonga in the South Pacific. Sunday, June 28, 2009. It was my birthday on Friday, the first time I've had a "winter" birthday! Brett and I are just having another relaxing Sunday, not doing anything. It's a little overcast and cool out today. I have a few days of work this week, then go to Nuku'alofa on the main island for a volunteer advisory meeting for a few days. And it's almost the 4th of July, we'll have to figure out how to celebrate here. Posted by Kate and Brett.

Our Peace Corps adventure in Tonga in the South Pacific. Monday, May 10, 2010. A quick update, Brett and I decided to have our dog Lucky shipped over last month from Tonga! It was a long and complicated process, but she made it here and is adjusting to American life - leashes, dog food, toys, being indoors at night, colder weather, lots of attention from people, etc. and she's loving it. Thanks to all our friends still in Tonga that helped us with getting Lucky here! Posted by Kate and Brett. Travel log,...

Two Coconuts: November 2009
http://asleson.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Our Peace Corps adventure in Tonga in the South Pacific. Sunday, November 29, 2009. We've also had a lot of gatherings lately for Phil and Aki, who are both finishing up their 2-year service here in Ha'apai. After our big Thanksgiving feast we had a feast the next day at Brett's school for both of them, along with the kids perfoming some dances. Then a party at Mariner's cafe, with some great food, drinks, and of course karoake since it was a Friday night. Posted by Kate and Brett. A Typical School Day.

Two Coconuts: March 2009
http://asleson.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Our Peace Corps adventure in Tonga in the South Pacific. Friday, March 27, 2009. We're in the capital city on the main island of Tongatapu! We were amazed by all the food choices, and restaurants on every street. Even getting off the plane there was a little restaurant with a sign for panini sandwhiches and pizza, real food! Posted by Kate and Brett. Sunday, March 22, 2009. We jumped in and snorkeled around for awhile, there were lots of fish and coral. And Alicia, the one person who was terrified of...

Our Peace Corps adventure in Tonga in the South Pacific. Thursday, October 29, 2009. The Cradle of Polynesia. The first outsiders to come to Tonga were Dutch explorers in the 1600's, then it was Captain Cook who named Tonga the Friendly Islands based on an experience he had right here in Ha'apai (although in reality the people he met were planning on eating him! Above - one of the historical sites, an old quarry). Posted by Kate and Brett. Sunday, October 25, 2009. Posted by Kate and Brett. Water Safety ...

Tongabunga!: Group 76 packing list
http://tongabunga.blogspot.com/2010/09/group-76-packing-list.html
Here I will share my experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Group 76 packing list. We're all excited for your arrival here in Tonga! Here is my suggested packing list for you. You won’t be able to bring everything but not much is available here and shipping to the other side of the world is expensive so don’t skimp. Volunteers who return home to visit for the holidays have been known to come back with over 100 pounds of baggage. It will be worth it!
