Monday, January 23, 2012. Blue Cheese Makes Everything Better. So, this recipe is super simple, but it was just what I needed to get me in the mood to blog. Because, really, if blue cheese isn't the cure-all, what is? In our house burgers are what I consider a staple, easy meal. I do the prep work, my husband does the grilling, and we're good to go! 1 pound ground beef. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. 1/3 to 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheee. 1 cup baby spinach. 4 Pla...

Tuesday, February 14, 2012. I Heart Valentine Cookies. These sweet little cookies have been a part of my Valentine's Day baking repertoire since, oh, probably Junior high. The Food Snob: August 2011
http://myfoodsnobbery.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. So I'm pretty much in awe of anyone who can be a mom and blog consistently right now. How do they do it? However, with fall approaching and a new school year starting (despite the fact I'm not teaching this year, I still think in terms of a school calendar), I am determined to be more disciplined and set aside time to blog. We shall see. This recipe makes 4 quarts of tea and is perfect for late summer sipping! 3/4 to 1 1/2 cups of sugar (depending on how sweet you want your tea).

The Food Snob: July 2011
http://myfoodsnobbery.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Summer time always finds us avoiding using the oven as much as possible and looking for as many fresh recipes that require a minimal amount of cooking or can be done on the grill. In my book a must have for summer is a good salad recipe (although can you call it a recipe when it's as simple as a salad? I feel like every summer we find a new salad that we love and make over and over again. Last summer was this Cobb salad with chili-lime dressing. Garden Three- Bean Salad. Girltal...

Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Fettuccini with braised Kale. Can you believe that the end of 2010 is almost here? I'm soaking up the last bits and pieces of 2010 while enjoying two weeks off from work (and really, I ask myself once again, why would anyone choose a job that doesn't give you two weeks off at Christmas? The recipe for today doesn't fall in the "yummy treat" category, but it did make a yummy dinner, (I'm officially banning myself from using the word yummy any more in this post! 1 pound of Kale.

The Food Snob: Mini-Pretzels
http://myfoodsnobbery.blogspot.com/2012/02/mini-pretzels.html
Monday, February 13, 2012. For probably the last year I have been wanting to make pretzels. Soft, warm pretzels- the kind no mall pretzel stand can recreate. I finally sat down and found a recipe for them, and in the last five days I've made them twice! In my defense, the first batch we brought to a Super Bowl party, so we did not single handedly eat two batches on our own- although I wouldn't put it past us! Oddly enough the directions on the Martha Stewart site were very confusing). 1/4 cup baking soda.

Sunday, October 31, 2010. So the other night Josh got home from music practice and all I could think was that I wanted (no, needed). The results just may have put an end to any future late night food slumming. oh, and it's not to bad heated up for breakfast the next morning either! But I'm sure the extra steps will have equally, if not better results! 1 1/2 cups flour. 1 cup almonds with skin. 1/4 cup packed brown sugar. 3/4 stick unsalted butter, melted and cooled. 1/2 stick unsalted butter. 4 Toss brow...
