Tuesday, 28 December 2010. A proper white Christmas. Regardless of what the bookies say, Christmas in Dublin was as white as white can be. Thursday, 11 November 2010. Out of the sandstorm into the rain - love it! Can't wait to get down to the boat this weekend. The weather promises to be sunny. After 3 days of winds and rain. Mind you, I can't really complain about the weather. On Monday I was enjoying 27 degrees-worth of bright sunshine in Leptis Magn. A, Libya. Sunday, 24 April 2011. It's great having a pet. Especially one who you don't have to feed, and who doesn't get upset when you go away on holiday. Thursday, 23 June 2011. The immigrant museum in Spitalfields in London is hardly ever open, but we caught it this evening after work. It looks like a rundown Georgian House but it has some secrets inside. I won't spoil the surprise, check it out for yourself this weekend, or in September. Http:/ www.19princeletstreet.org.uk/. Saturday, 18 June 2011. The Central St Martin's graphic design degree show was excellent. We bought a print by Hoon Yoon. That reminds me of Posy Simmonds. I strongly recommend the show - the quality is very high. Here's a piece in Creative Review about the show. Going to the RCA Master's show next weekend. Sunday, 10 October 2010. Last taste of summer. It felt like summer this weekend - hard to believe it's nearly the middle of October. Went for a walk in Buckingham yesterday. Most of the leaves were still green, just a few turning gold and russet. Everywhere the trees and bushes were laden with fruit: apples, damsons, quince. Today we went to Hughenden Manor.
