So far our travels this summer have been memorable and many, but no where we have been can offer what our hometown can…closeness to family and friends. The few times we have been in portland this summer we have enjoyed several dinners with family, happy hours with our Portland cronies and we even had time to explore our own sandy river with old friends! We left our concrete jungle surrounded by the Front Range of the Rockies sooner than anticipated. We had the strong desire to explore the surrounding area. On our way out of the Rockies we drove north and then west to explore Estes Park, Nederland, and just plain ‘ol sightseeing through the beautiful mountain ranges.
