Santa Cruz weather in May. Will likely be warmish (60s to 80s) and not rainy (if it does rain the locals will freak out). If you're used to east coast weather you'll be surprised by how much it cools off after sunset (Bring a jacket! Things you're going to want to pack:. Camera, of course! Enough layers to be comfortable from 50s to 80s. If you're interested in it, shoes good for walking/hiking (Chaminade also has trails). Suncreen- its always a good idea! Please remember to RSVP!

If you're flying all the way to CA, you might as well stay and visit for a bit. Here's a list of places that you might enjoy visiting! If you're staying in Santa Cruz for the wedding, you'll have some time to check out the local sites. Santa Cruz boasts some lovely beaches. The Pacific Ocean is cold! And some lovely Sequoia forests. We have a room block at Chaminade. For May 14 and May 15 2010, where the ceremony and reception is. Make sure you mention our group (the Smith/Siemborski wedding), and you'll get the group rate of about $199/night and they will waive the resort fee. Another option would be one of the other local hotels, such as The Hampton Inn in Santa Cruz. While we do not have a group rate here, as of October Expedia shows current rates as low as $145/night. If you also book Thursday, it drops to around $121/night.
