Stitch-Witchery: May 2010
http://stitch-witchery.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. I think I have a problem. And you know, they say that the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. You see, I love afghans. Adore them, really. There's just nothing else quite as comforting as curling up on the couch with a big crocheted (or knitted) blanket. My favorites are the heavy soft ones you can just snuggle under all day! From 1985. I flipped through it and found several patterns that I just love. Incidentally, half the patterns are crochet and half...It's ...

Monday, July 26, 2010. Raspberry Lemonade Cupcakes Revisited: Part 1. So, I've been up to my antics again. I liked that Ina Garten recipe. But it calls for a syrup to be poured over the cake once it's been baked. Myself, I'm not a big fan of that, so I omitted it. While the cake WAS pretty good, I thought it could be a weee bit sweeter and a little more moist, so here's my version of the recipe:. 3 cups self-rising flour, sifted. 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar. 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice. 4 extra large eggs.

No more sharing walls/floors/ceilings! We now have a yard! And I can plant flowers and get a dog! And here are some more exclamation points! I know I can. :D. Posted by Nancy McGill. Stitch-Witchery: Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...
http://stitch-witchery.blogspot.com/2011/04/raindrops-keep-fallin-on-my-head.html
Saturday, April 23, 2011. Raindrops keep fallin' on my head. It's been off and on rainy all week, and now it looks like we're going to have storms and rain for the next three or four days. We even had a tornado warning and some rotating cloud formations last night! At least this means I'll have some nice crocheting weather; maybe I'll get a significant amount of work done on that afghan I've been working on. :). So, here's what it's going to look like around here for the next couple of days:. Pizza by th...

Maybe now I won't be tempted to toss this yarn off the highest mountain peak. Posted by Nancy McGill. How big do you plan to make it? http://stitch-witchery.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 28, 2011. I have recently been drooling over several crochet books. I can't afford to buy them all right now, but Valentine's Day is coming up- maybe I'll nudge the significant other toward a couple of these. (My favorite gift to give or receive is a book; knowledge is the best gift ever! First up is 100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet. From Lesley Stansfield . This book has some fantastic. Image from Amazon.com. Snarkiness aside, I still think it would be nice to have a quick reference guide...

Stitch-Witchery: March 2011
http://stitch-witchery.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Tidy mind, tidy stitches. Today's topic revolves around the topic of organization:. How do you keep your yarn wrangling organised? I also have a pretty basket, which I keep some overflow and yarn that I know I'll be using soon. I really like this basket because it's pretty and because it was part of a wedding gift from a couple of awesome friends. :) The little roll of fabric is part of a liner I'm planning on sewing for it- I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Today I'd say...
