Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Our last artist study for the year was on Henri Matisse. (We don't have any coverings on the school room windows and it is really. Hard to get a straight shot of this bulletin board without a glare! We love the Getting to Know. Books- for artists and presidents! A couple more of the books we used. We also watched the Dropping in on Matisse DVD. Which the kids enjoyed. We tried the Overlapping Matisse Shapes from Art Projects for Kids. We also did this watercolor project. The Last D...

Friday, July 24, 2015. Van Gogh to Rothko. Now that I'm finally getting a chance to blog, here are some pictures from our trip to Crystal Bridges to see the Van Gogh to Rothko exhibit- in April! Kahlo (on my list of blogs I need to do from this year). Pollock (also on the list of blogs to do! Rousseau (on the list for this year).
Little Things: Weekly Wrap Up (1/17)
http://jenslittlethings.blogspot.com/2015/01/weekly-wrap-up-117.html
Monday, January 19, 2015. Weekly Wrap Up (1/17). I didn't take a ton of pictures last week, but here are a few of the fun we had! Monday we made dog treats for Hobo. Boris is still loving the beanbag Santa brought for Alice. He loves it so much that he will not let the fact that someone is already on it deter him from getting a cozy spot. I found Alice a shirt that matches her glasses! The kids made Great-Gran a tied fleece blanket and we took it to her new apartment. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
Little Things: Linnaeus Teaching Gardens
http://jenslittlethings.blogspot.com/2015/07/linnaeus-teaching-gardens.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. I posted about the storytime in the gardens. But I never got around to sharing about our first visit to the Linnaeus Teaching Gardens. We went with a couple of other homeschooling families and had a tour of the gardens one morning. This tree was decorated with a chainsaw! There are all kinds of pretty views! They don't use any chemicals on the plants, so you can taste test! I can't remember what this was called, but it was kind of like a cherry, I think.). You Can Also Read Me At.

Team Zumwalt: Nobody Said Life Was Fair
http://thelifeofazumwalt.blogspot.com/2015/08/nobody-said-life-was-fair.html
A second attempt to chronicle the life of Team Zumwalt. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Nobody Said Life Was Fair. I’m mad. I’m mad that I already buried a baby and in a sense I’ve lost this one too. Although I haven’t had to bury him, we still grieve the loss of a "normal" baby. I’m mad that Isaac’s life is limited because of Levi. I’m mad that this happened to my family. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone else, but I’d be lying if I said I never asked “why us and not someone else? Posted by Laura and Nick.

http://thelifeofazumwalt.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
A second attempt to chronicle the life of Team Zumwalt. Sunday, November 18, 2012. I'd bet money that every one of us has asked the question "why do bad things happen to good people? Today, I've been asking why bad things. To a good person. In the last year and a half I've watched as one of my dear friends has lost three members of her immediate family, all very suddenly. Why? How much more can this poor girl take? If anyone deserves one it's her. I know my questions as to why this keeps happening won't ...
