Sunday, December 20, 2009. Last days of "work". Someone asked on Friday when my last day was. I responded, "I only have two more days of work." Then it hit me.student teaching is work! I only have two more days of working AND getting paid for it! So as my hours increase, my earnings decrease to nil and I'm PAYING money to do this? I know I won't achieve this resolution 100% but I give it a shot each year :) So to help me along the path I thought I should note how far I've come. In 1999, (wow! It's been a decade? Friday, January 29, 2010. I'm stressed, exhausted (could totally fall asleep at K's bed time! Forgetting to eat, probably lost 3 lbs. but.I love what I'm doing! And no matter what happens today I will have that small moment forever that I did make a difference, that teaching isn't just letters and numbers and I am doing what I was meant to do.
