Confessions of a lactic junkie: July 2010
http://lacticjunkie.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Confessions of a lactic junkie. Friday, July 23, 2010. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. In mid April the plan of climbing Mt Aspiring was dashed by rain. The Aoraki 2nd year mountaineers decided to leave the snowy peak behind and head to Arthur's Pass for some goodness of alpine rock, after all it is late summer and the rock is warm and dry! Climb, climb, climb, climb, climb. The last leg to the summit. Abseil into Crow Glacier. Descend into the night. All photos by Alice Edginton and Bia Boucinhas.

Confessions of a lactic junkie: Mt Footstool
http://lacticjunkie.blogspot.com/2010/05/mt-footstool.html
Confessions of a lactic junkie. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Before we climbed Mt Cook in 2008 we went up Mt Footstool as a warm-up trip. The East Ridge was broken when we were up there so we went up Northeast Ridge from Sefton Bivy. The glaciers had good freeze overnight so we cruised up, boot skied down and back at village for a jug in the afternoon. Fun! Setup an abseil to rap onto Eugenie Glacier. Just another bloody beautiful sunrise. Mt Cook from Hooker Valley. With Mt Sefton at background.

Confessions of a lactic junkie: Mt Loyd
http://lacticjunkie.blogspot.com/2010/07/mt-loyd.html
Confessions of a lactic junkie. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. I have been living in South Island for 5 months now. The first alpine mission I went on was climbing Mt Loyd in Ben Ohau Range with Asher back in March. I think we did something like 9 pitches and few pitches of simuclimbing to climb the central buttress, the crux was up to rock grade 17. My first grade 4 and had a good taste of what Southern Alp has to offer in summer. The walk-in into Freds Stream. Asher gets ready for the first pitch.
