No promises!

Tuesday, November 06, 2007. Posted by Jen @ 9:24 PM. Monday, October 29, 2007. I had my bedroom window open yesterday enjoying the fall weather. My blinds were down to discourage my cats from tromping across my pillow to get into the windowsill. Cam was outside playing with Ray (little boy from across the street - he's a year older than Cam) and Lexi (she's from down the street and a year younger than Cam). Article on Hildegard of Bingen when I heard the following through my window:. I stand corrected...

No promises!: Counter-intuitive

http://www.jenvalresa.blogspot.com/2007/09/counter-intuitive.html

Thursday, September 13, 2007. The human body is an amazing thing. Your body does things to help itself. You get hot, your sweat glands kick in, and a cool breeze blows across the sweat and you cool down. Theoretically. I mean, I live in Florida and teach marching band - there ARE no cool breezes. Anyway, I digress. Oh, wait.a TMI warning for you:. Anyway, as I was saying. The human body is an amazing self-regulating machine. Except mine. First there's the "Why am I having TWO periods this month? JEN IS C...

No promises!: Dare I say?

http://www.jenvalresa.blogspot.com/2007/09/dare-i-say.html

Thursday, September 06, 2007. To be getting better. I've gone a whole week at school without having to change my schedule, for starters. That's nice. :) I found out today that I made 2nd chair in the wind ensemble. I'm ok being behind Margaret - she's working on her Master's and is out of my league - but I was afraid that I would end up sitting behind a bunch of 19 year olds. shudder. I haven't worn a 14 since I got married. It's about damn time. :). Posted by Jen @ 6:36 PM. A really REAL post!

No promises!: Look, Pensacola...

http://www.jenvalresa.blogspot.com/2007/10/look-pensacola.html

Thursday, October 18, 2007. Yes, I'm aware that we're in drought conditions and it hasn't really. Rained in a long time. That is NO excuse for the idiocy I encountered on the way to school this morning. Honestly, people! As I will be using my "grown up words" often and creatively. Just be thankful you weren't in the car with me. Now back to the incompetent freaks in my charming home town. Let's review some basic driver's ed, shall we? Thou shalt turn on thy headlights when it pours cats and dogs. Moron "...

Friday, September 21, 2007. Wait just a minute. What's that I hear you say? Gee, Jen, it's 5:53 on a Friday night in September.what are you doing at your computer? Well, there's a funny story behind that. Well The game is not CANCELED.it's been postponed till Monday. Monday. MONDAY! I know my schedule is convoluted.I didn't realize exactly how. Bad until it got all stirred up. Ugh! Posted by Jen @ 5:14 PM. It's all Joshua's fault! He's secretly a hurricane God. It's like Rob McKenna from the Hitchhik...

No promises!: (drawing a blank)

http://www.jenvalresa.blogspot.com/2007/10/drawing-blank.html

Wednesday, October 17, 2007. I'm not sitting down to blog with any real subject in mind - let that be both a warning to you, dear readers, and an explanation for my subject line at the top. :). The UWF band finished our first concert of all Russian music.let us never speak of it again. We got new music Tuesday, consisting of umpteen Christmas tunes and a transcription of Capriccio Espagnol. Busy in the upcoming months. Know what I mean? Posted by Jen @ 8:35 PM. Wait just a minute. A really REAL post!

Kimchi, not for me. Sunday, February 27, 2005. Well, dear friends, Melissa has arrived safe and sound! The worth and excellency of a soul is to be measured by the object of its. Love: he who loveth mean and sordid things doth thereby become base and vile;. Kimchi, not for me. Saturday, April 30, 2005. The future of this brain. I applied to grad school this week. Isn't it funny that dropping my food processor into the toilet somehow managed to win out over that little tidbit of information? I just didn't think to share it until just now. I'm taking the long-delayed plunge and applying to the modular MA program in Apologetics at Biola. Rickie is in that program, as is (was? Wednesday, April 27, 2005. Kimchi, not for me. Wednesday, September 28, 2005. Always face the splash guard.it's there for a reason. While I'm here though, I might as well share a story from my day. I got a new fourth grade class at the beginning of this month that consists of two students. It's a very low level class, but the kids are both really sweet. There is one girl and one boy. The girl.(how to say this delicately? Go to the bathroom and wash our hands! I do feel less nauseous now.off to sleep (hopefully). That's per individ...

Kimchi, not for me. Friday, May 27, 2005. Thank God. I can only barely keep up with Daive and myself. I had the inspiration to write a little about Korean culture, because it was at first a huge stumbling block for me here, and now that I've been here longer, it's just interesting. But now is not the time.so tired. But soon perhaps. Gonna go lay down and read (probably sleep). Night everyone. Sunday, May 22, 2005. Daive says, "what's up? The package from my dad and sister arrived yesterday - with THE best huggy pillow ever that perfectly matches one I already have, THREE (count 'em! I said I would put the link up when my sister's picture was posted on the Florida hiking site, and it has been. (It actually was last week, but I kept on forgetting.). Okay, I'm going to bed now. You know the deodorant that says "Strong enough for a man, but pH balanced for a woman? AND (drumroll please) I somehow managed to find my friend Megan's blog - though she hasn't blogged in awhile, it's still there and it has a picture of her, and seeing her makes me happy (and homesick.but I'm trying to be optimistic here). Thursday, December 1, 2011. Today radio waves are not something we typically think about, even though we use them very frequently. They are an idea I am so used to that I don't consider what life was like prior, or what a novel concept they were. Looking back at history, it took over 100 years and the combining several scientists’ works to achieve the feat of sending radio signals across the Atlantic Ocean. Just me, and my musings on life and love and the meaning of it all. Thursday, January 09, 2014. Loving Him Was Red. Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street. Faster than the wind, passionate as sin, ending so suddenly. Loving him is like trying to change your mind once you're already flying through the free fall. Like the colors in autumn, so bright just before they lose it all. Losing him was blue like I'd never known. Missing him was dark grey all alone. But loving him was red.
