I get bored easily. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. A big thank you to my friend George who picked up a pint each of red currants, white currants, and black currants at a farmers market. I've never had a fresh currant before, but know I love red currant and black currant jelly, and planted 10 currant bushes this year.so I better love them, right? Having said that, I don't think I've ever read anything where someone says "yum, I love these fresh currants I'm snacking on! And there's a reason for that!

I get bored easily. Saturday, July 25, 2015. I found the chipmunks were able to jump up into the pot with the fig. Not anymore! Now I'm enjoying a fig or two each day! Not the most attractive protection, but it seems to work! I used to work at a feedstore and we stack stuff on top of inverted plastic tubs. And then these two tomato plants have grown to gargantuan sizes and imposed their overabundance on us with unrelenting ferocity. They taunt us, basically, and it gets out of hand. I get bored easily. Sunday, November 13, 2016. If you're going to sit down, make sure to have anything you want so do / read / knit within easy reach *before* the critters pile on. And remember that the window of opportunity greatly shrinks the colder it is. No way can I reach that bag of knitting way out past the toes. Also - first day we've turned on the fireplace, which also means that "first fire of the season" stink as it burns off any dust, cobwebs etc. Daisy is in heaven - she loves the fire.
