What's New with You? Thursday, September 9, 2010. Jack is officially a Kindergartner! Here are some pics to document the big day. On Monday night before school started Jack got to pick where we would have dinner and he picked Brick Oven. I had to laugh because we had only been there once or twice but I guess it stuck with him. We had a lot of fun and of course the food was delicious! Here is Jack getting his school hair cut. He used to be terrible when getting his hair cut but now handles it with ease.

Wednesday, February 6, 2013. You've had a birthday! My baby, Mary, the little stinker went and turned 5 on Monday. Her breakfast in bed was quite the sugar bomb. Her choice of favorite cereal was Froot Loops, grandpa brought donuts with heart shaped sprinkles and a little hot chocolate for a cold winter morning. A few days before she turned five (yes when she was still 4) she lost her first tooth. Crazy but she was glad to be able to put her tooth in the tooth pillow for the tooth fairy.

our family news: Fourth of July, DC style
http://wahlquists.blogspot.com/2012/08/fourth-of-july-dc-style.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Fourth of July, DC style. We learned from our previous mistake and packed a lunch for our trip down to check out DC on the 4th. We were excited to see all that DC would offer. We tried to watch the parade which I heard can last a couple of hours. I think we lasted about 20 minutes before we bailed and went into the museum. Too hot. The kids spent the next hour or so building pyramids with Legos. Not really what we came for but they were happy. We had planned to go back down to th...

Later Slater: Happy Halloween

What's New with You? Monday, November 1, 2010. The kiddos had opinions on this one. Finding a penguin costume turned out to be nearly impossible and Jack didn't want to be anything else. What is a mom to do? Yeah right I don't sew! Luckily I have a good friend who would help me and my mom saved me. With a lot of help and encouragement I actually made Jack a penguin costume. For my first project I think it turned out pretty cute. One of my favorite is Laney. She was a cute and cuddly peacock! On Saturday ...

Friday, March 23, 2012. Yesterday, with more glorious weather, we gathered at the park for an Easter egg hunt. The eggs each had a name written on it, so the kids had to find their own eggs. I guess they have learned something because they were able to find their own names and even show friends which were theirs. Our seven little preschoolers and one little brother. our family news: Gratitude
http://wahlquists.blogspot.com/2012/11/gratitude.html
Saturday, November 3, 2012. I've noticed on Facebook and other blogs that some are taking the month of November to count their blessings. What a wonderful idea. I think it is easy sometimes easy to focus on the things that are difficult or the things that go wrong. But we (I) are really so blessed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gratitude, part 2. Sunday, January 15, 2012. Tanner's birthday started off with giving his cousin Miles a bottle. Scott used a little more strategy and his team seemed to get to the end zone more often. Next came my favorite part: Costco Cake! Tanner got a lot of cool gifts from his friends but the one that really stood out was the Sacramento Kings Jimmer t-shirt. He had a great day, and we were so glad to be able to have so many family members in town to help celebrate. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Cute jammies, huh? To which...

Friday, October 28, 2011. In August when we went to the dentist for checkups, they hygienist told Sarah that she had a loose tooth. Since then she has been wiggling that thing with her tongue and yesterday at lunch she finally got it out. She popped it out on the table in front of her, got an excited look on her face and screamed, "This is AWESOME! Just as cute even without one tooth! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Simple template. Sunday, October 10, 2010. This past month has been busy, but I usually don’t feel like blogging until I have lots to blog about, so here are some highlights of September and parts of October (I did a post for each family member)…. The most exciting thing is that at the end of September Steve finished his four month orthopaedic trauma rotation (his busiest rotation in 5th year) and now he only has 8 months left of residency! I had another birthday this past month! I also got a hair cut this past month!
