Maps: April 2013
http://jeremiahshackelford.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 29, 2013. Decided to take a break from social media for a while, specifically Facebook. Hard to put into words exactly why. I just felt like I needed a break. I'm still here I'm just going to be "offline" for a while. Friday, April 26, 2013. My Life is a Shambles. Days like this have me thinking, "Where did I go wrong? And "Can I have a do-over please? Musings in Mindanao: February 2008
http://hellokids.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Things posted here that may be of general interest to a select audience. Enjoy! Wednesday, February 27, 2008. I got word in January that the time period for me to finish the online classes I paid for expires at the end of April. At the time I was most of the way through Bible Study Methods, but totally bogged down in the tedious last two modules in which I had to do 30 assignments in the book of Ruth and the same in the book of James. but I got them finished. . Saturday, February 16, 2008. The most labor...
Musings in Mindanao: July 2008
http://hellokids.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Things posted here that may be of general interest to a select audience. Enjoy! Wednesday, July 30, 2008. If you peer closely at the sign in this picture, you will see why we opted to drive to see this small English village, rather than Bath, or some other, much more interesting spot in England. Can you read the fine print? The second name on the sign is 'Shackleford.'. And we turned onto this road. And found this old church, called 'Shackleford Church! The stonework of the building was really nice!
Musings in Mindanao: December 2007

Things posted here that may be of general interest to a select audience. Enjoy! Friday, December 28, 2007. All is Calm, all is Bright. Well, it turned out to be just fine! So much for the panic! They all left about 5 pm. She didn't end up bringing Bebeng and family, since none of us were able to contact her. She arrived at the buss terminal at about quarter to nine in the evening, after having spent all of Christmas on the bus! It was so nice to see her! The girls gave us an owl made of sea shells. T...
Musings in Mindanao: Istanbul: The Underground Cistern
http://hellokids.blogspot.com/2008/10/istanbul-underground-cistern.html
Things posted here that may be of general interest to a select audience. Enjoy! Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Istanbul: The Underground Cistern. The first 'touristy' place we saw was the underground cisterns. These were a huge underground room, dark and damp, with walkways all around over water about 2-3 feet deep. This place was built during the height of Constantinople. It held something like 100 tonnes of water and provided running water for the palace and its surrounds. Now this was quite interesting!
Musings in Mindanao: November 2007
http://hellokids.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Things posted here that may be of general interest to a select audience. Enjoy! Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Back at the Condo. Well, we were able to get the scan, go to the bank and get money and see a couple doctors on Monday. We ate dinner at home and then went to the hospital to be admitted at about 8 PM. The hospital was nice! I woke up about 6:30 am after a short night on the 'bench.' Dad was hooked up to the IV and he had shaved off his moustache! Hmmm, a different look! Sunday, November 18, 2007.

Things posted here that may be of general interest to a select audience. Enjoy! Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Daniel Josh Ibañez, Born April 10th! Caryl and Peter are so happy! Her milk has come in and the baby is a vigorous nurser. He is a real cutie and looks a lot like his Papa so far. It is fun to have a tiny baby is the house and we all get our turns holding him. So far, I am still the best at getting him to go to sleep, but then I have the most experience! Monday, April 14, 2008. We nod and smile!
Musings in Mindanao: Conference Near Kusadasi
http://hellokids.blogspot.com/2008/08/conference-near-kusadasi.html
Things posted here that may be of general interest to a select audience. Enjoy! Monday, August 04, 2008. Well, it has been a long time, hasn't it? But better late than never, so I will now finish our tour! This is a shot taken from the roof our our hotel. You can see it was on a main drag and there were many apartments opposite. Here you can see the mountains behind the town and the large mosque. We did not hear the call to prayer or see people praying while we were there, which we found unusual. 160;Our...

Roots reaching deep into the water. The Status Quo Question: “What Do You Make? September 1, 2011. Friends, I greatly apologize for not writing a blog the past few days. This week has been extremely demanding, so I had to wait to submit my blog, and I am SO glad I did. HE allowed me to make Christ’s light shine! Then, I received an email and saw this story about teachers… I really think this is something to challenge ALL people, asking “What Do You Make? 8221; Please read the story below:. 8220;I teach t...

Thursday, July 03, 2014. I Should Have Had The Salad. Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia, where outdoor conditions are just about right for boiling eggs. The nights are filled with the agonized shrieks of cricketts and bullfrogs who are likewise boiling, and my belly us filled with cheap fried food which is just about all that is available at the moment. I'll admit I did consider the limp brown salad but decided to give it a pass. Whatever happened to just signing a petition? Tuesday, July 01, 2014. Thursda...
