Heck of the North. This year’s Heck of the North has us starting a stone’s throw from Two Harbor’s best historic attractions. I recently took my two young girls up to check out some of the sites. We all really enjoyed the day. We topped it off by taking a swim in Burlington Bay. This beautiful beach is adjoined to Burlington Bay Campground. Please visit the Two Harbors Chamber website.

Heck of the North. Another Trans Iowa is in the books. Some will say that it was one of the toughest (but actually finish-able) editions. Unrelenting headwinds, hills and rather ominous night time storms marked this race. The Trans Iowa is one of the most amazing, challenging and special gravel races in the world. I'm glad I could be a part of this one.

We hit some great trails and saw a tarantula wasp that eats tarantulas and lays eggs in the paralyzed (but not dead) spider and then the babies hatch and eat the spider.there's some food for thought!
