SFO to LON: September 2011
http://sfo-to-lon.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
I moved to London from San Francisco. Tuesday, September 06, 2011. This is travelling UK style - trip to Norfolk and Suffolk. Sorry so far behind - must catch up on the last couple of months. So after returning from Somerset with Sarah, I took off with Robert on a driving tour of Norfolk and Suffolk. I made him pose for many embarrassing photos. Luckily he is a ham of the old school and didn't mind. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). San Francisco, United States. View my complete profile.

SFO to LON: Wells Cathedral
http://sfo-to-lon.blogspot.com/2011/08/wells-cathedral.html
I moved to London from San Francisco. Sunday, August 28, 2011. Part of August Bank Holiday weekend trip to Somerset was a quick whip around the ground of Wells Cathedral. Which as frequeently turns out, is a pretty interesting place with a ton of history - smack in the middle of rural England. The present cathedral was begun in 1175 on the sight of a much earlier Saxon church from about 705. the 1175 church was the first English Church to be built in the French Gothic style. Swans (not ringing the bell).

I moved to London from San Francisco. Sunday, November 28, 2010. Links to this post. Robert came to visit and we had an outing. It was a lovely sunny day and I actually crutched it down to the village! Had to get a push back up the hill as it was my first foray out of the house which didn't involve the hospital and a cab. So its now looking like at some point in the futuer I may actually get over this. Also note that lovely pink cheek with no stitches. Hope that swelling goes down. Links to this post.

Because we are all writers. Wednesday, April 9, 2014. My contributor's copy of the Spring 2014 edition of Witness. It looks great, and it reads great, and I'm pumped to have my story, "Orphans on the Moon," included in such a fine production. The issue's theme is Ghosts, and you can order your copy here. Thanks to all the hard work from everyone at Black Mountain Institute, and congrats to my fellow contributors, who have seen so much. The modern writer as witness, indeed! Thanks for stopping by! Because we are all writers. Friday, November 30, 2012. Holiday Messages in Surprising Places. I found this poem written on the bathroom wall of the coffe shop near my house:. Grapple with the false self. Until it falls waywardly,. Like a sack mask of flesh. Am I more myself. Than this tangle of limbs. And fur and oddly shaped teeth? How to accept the gift. I'd like to say. I imagine that place. A train running out. From the real thing. I pound my chest to wake you,. To stand there galvanized. The day aft...
