Jeremy in Taiwan: Coming Home
http://jeremywangintaiwan.blogspot.com/2006/09/coming-home.html
Jeremy is in Taiwan again. Read about it in this blog. Monday, September 11, 2006. Our journey home proved to be long and testing. From Osaka, we crossed the International Date Line to Honolulu, Hawai'i (you pronounce EVERY vowel). After 7 hours on a plane full of Japanese tourists, the smell of fresh air upon arrival was welcome. We passed through customs, hopped on a city bus, and headed for Waikiki Beach. Jeremy in Taiwan: NYC, Tokyo, Taipei
http://jeremywangintaiwan.blogspot.com/2008/07/nyc-tokyo-taipei.html
Jeremy is in Taiwan again. Read about it in this blog. Monday, July 14, 2008. NYC, Tokyo, Taipei. Well I'm back in Taiwan. After 24 hours in transit, I arrived in Taipei to see my dad, uncle, and aunt waiting just outside baggage at Taoyuan Airport. Yesterday (I think - I lost a day), this was a site I could only hope to see. Eventually we parted tipsy ways and boarded the plane. Thus began 12 hours of airplane food, movies (Batman: Gotham Knight - recommended), TV (Mad Men - recommended, The Wire - ...

Jeremy is in Taiwan again. Read about it in this blog. Wednesday, July 16, 2008. The temple is in a beautiful location looking out over green mountains. As Dad said, Ago and Ama always loved the mountains. It's 95 degrees outside and humid during the day, so we waited until after dinner to go out and check out the city. We decided to go to the Ximen District, where Megan and I plan to go see a movie tomorrow. As I've posted before. As always, English is always a humorous endeavor in Asian countries. ...
Jeremy in Taiwan: Wednesday/Thursday
http://jeremywangintaiwan.blogspot.com/2008/07/wednesdaythursday.html
Jeremy is in Taiwan again. Read about it in this blog. Thursday, July 17, 2008. Woke up early Wednesday to some warm breakfast breads, soy milk, and the All-Star Game - remember, we're 12 hours ahead here. We didn't stick around to witness all 15 innings, but it was good to see some good old American baseball on the tube. At around 11am, we headed out to pick up Megan. She was eagerly waiting for her release, so we hopped on the MRT. After I had showered,. In the afternoon, we went out for tea with my au...

Paul's China Journal: September 2006
http://paulinchina.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Live and direct from the Northern Capital. Before the ink of the rubber stamp congress dries. Tuesday, September 05, 2006. 今天在医院。Today at the Hospital. Today I went to the hospital to get my yearly for-visa physical. It's always a hassle and this year was no exception. The clinic (hospital is a bit formal) only sees patients - foreign passport holders wanting residence in China and Chinese holders seeking visas to go abroad - from 8 - 10:30am. Crowded is an understatment. 10:15 - Finally sitting down....

The Path of Zen. After a traumatic life event a few years ago, I began exploring Zen Buddhism. I started a blog to express some of the thoughts and realizations Ive had along the journey. Check it out here: My Thoughts on Zen Buddhism. Preserving my old Drupal links. About a year ago, I built a wine rack out of an Ikea bed and blogged about it. I sent it in to Hack a Day. And they promptly posted it. Uri = new miuri(location.href); window.location = uri.query(q);. All but 3 of them were Russian bots want...

Jeremy's Wander Blog. Postings from the road less traveled. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. August 7, 2012. We rode in relative luxury on the Bolt Bus. Searching online for places to stay the night before, eyebrows jumped when we learned that Vancouver’s Gay Pride was this very weekend. Just our luck! When we arrived at 6am to cue up, the crowd was peppered with gay boys! 8220;Here we go on the big gay bus to the big gay party! From my perch on a bus stop bench set back between a phar...
