Button Counter: February 2012
http://buttoncounter.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Fabric, chocolate, kids, and an occasional stiff drink. Monday, February 20, 2012. Planning, Working, Coughing, etc. I missed a few things on my list of stuff to do. Buy cough medicine, Kleenex, body ache relief, and 2 pet squirrels for the kids, to keep them busy. I am not fully sick yet. My chest hurts from the fluid that is coating my lungs, and my throat feels raw, so I know that I am in store for one hellova. As far as the other projects on my list, flowers are being appliqued, and I have been worki...

http://humblequilter.blogspot.com/2013/02/whew-i-may-need-new-battery.html
February 28, 2013. I may need a new battery! I have been SEW busy! We have a new little boutique here in town guess who has a booth? This is something I've wanted to do for a really long time, but never 'followed through'. Lord willing, I'm planning to retire in 18 months (but, hey, who is counting? And my plans are to spend time in my studio making quilts and quilted gift items - anything fabric! As Martha Stewart would say "that's a good thing". So guess who is busy making more? I have more "in the wor...

Humble Quilter: June 2015
http://humblequilter.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
June 17, 2015. That's what I've been doing! I'm making a "come back" with the quilting, but some things just never change! When you are piecing a block and you make a wrong cut, well, you know the song. Rippit! At least it was just about 1/16th wrong so I was able to make the blocks work. My LQS - which I recently discovered! And did I tell you it is ONLY 20 minutes from my front door to theirs? Now, I'm not doing this because I need another UFO! Why, I thought I'd have to wear sunglasses! June 8, 2015.

Humble Quilter: Dress in Blue Day!
http://humblequilter.blogspot.com/2013/03/dress-in-blue-day.html
March 1, 2013. Dress in Blue Day! Today is "Dress in Blue Day" to kick off "Colon Cancer Awareness" month. I'm rockin' my "Blue Over Cancer" T-shirt at my office today. I am a 9-year survivor of colon cancer. Praise the Lord! If you are over the age of 50 and have not had a colonoscopy, RUN to your phone and call your doctor. I had NO IDEA I had cancer until it was found in a routine colonoscopy - a test I had planned to never do! I am so glad I had that test! It could save your life - it did mine! Blogs...

Humble Quilter: July 2011
http://humblequilter.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
July 15, 2011. The time has come for me to share the story of the " panty. If you have been reading my blog (not that there have been a lot of posts lately), you know that I lost my precious husband a couple of months ago. You also know that he had spoiled me rotten. You see, he was retired and I was still working. He took care of the house, the yard, did a little cooking, and he also did the laundry. WAIT! I know some of you are in a panic - "she lets her husband wash her clothes? I mean, my drawer was ...

If you have followed my blog - hopefully, there are a few of you left - you know that I lost my husband unexpectantly four years ago. I lost interest in quilting and pretty much everything I enjoyed. I guess grief can just do that to ya! However, I'm learning that I DO NOT WANT TO DIE WHILE I'M STILL ALIVE! LOL), and even starting a new project. Glad y...

Humble Quilter: December 2011
http://humblequilter.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
December 31, 2011. Run on over to Jo's Country Junction. And join in on the Quilt Square Quilt Along! A GREAT way to use up some of those scraps! Links to this post. January 1, 2011, began as normal – a sweet kiss between my Ronny and I at midnight – well, if we were awake! Sometimes it happened the next morning – especially in the later years of our marriage! We were so excited for 2011 – the year we would celebrate our 40. Wedding anniversary. Who would have thought it! Why am I repeating this story?
