Above is an Osprey dining on his freshly caught breakfast fish. Photo taken through the window so it is not as crisp as I would like. A small squid/octopi wandered up to the shoreline one day. Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Here is the 'list' of Islands that I was talking about last post that, I or John and I have kayaked around. If you are wanting to check a map, most of these islands are in the area from the San Juan Islands north to Desolation Sound, quite a few are in the Gulf Islands, some very small others were big enough to pack a lunch and spend the day paddling around. The scenery is beautiful everywhere. This is in Princess Louisa Inlet. Look at the hitch hiker I picked up!

Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Post number 4 - more about day to day. John made the hike to his geo cache on the hill to the south end of the beach. All good up there, lots of visits to the cache - and the reward for making the hike up the mountain is the fabulous view of the bay! The first picture is the island I am always talking about. The weather made the sailing trip fantastic - warm water in Desolation Sound = daily swimming.we were 6 weeks on board Puffin.visited all of our favourite spots again this year, and met up with a few old friends and made a few new ones too. Monday, April 8, 2013. So many picture to choose from to depict our trip north. We chose a route through Arizona and Utah before we headed north west to home. We enjoyed our visits to the National Parks in the last few years it was an easy choice to visit another couple of parks again this year. After leaving the beach we stopped at our usual spots along the way - the boulder fields of Catavinia are so beautiful . And of course the sand dunes and miles long beach at El Pableon (just south of San Quintin).

Well, I hate to update the medical info since it's so incomplete. In the last week or 2:. I've had my right thumb injected to ease the arthritis pain. Paul had an MRI on his right shoulder (but no report till Feb 1st.). I had an impression for a TMJ splint (probably finished Feb 1st). I had an MRI of my left shoulder (and my report is Feb 3rd.). Paul did another sleep study (he's lost enough weight that his C-PAP needs adjusting). As soon as we can complete the necessary medical care, we'll be home.

Well, by Monday my headache wasn't any better. So, off to the emergency room I go! We spent 6 hours having CT scan, Chest X-ray, Blood Work, and finally a Spinal Tap. I really liked the doctor in the ER he was friendly, thorough and quick. He said there was nothing in the spinal fluid, it was crystal clear. He pronounced me very healthy and gave me pills for migraine headache and referred me to an neurologist. I'm VERY hopeful that we can come home soon. We need to tie up a few loose ends and find a ...
