Staying at the Novotel Resort

Our Stay at the Novotel Resort, Manama. These are shots of our room, which was very nice, if a little small to spend a month in. As you can see, the hotel was more of a resort complex than a traditional hotel, with rooms sprawled out all over the place. It was very nice. This is the Novotel's private beach, which I never got the chance to swim in. They have a ski boat and jet ski that customers can rent by the hour, and they have weekly barbecues down on the beach. Deception Pass, WA. Deception Pass Bridge is the bridge that links the northern end of Whidbey Island with Fidalgo Island. Deception Pass State Park, located on both sides of the bridge, is the most visited state park in Washington. And for good reason: Deception Pass is amazingly beautiful. Canoeing in Blackwater River State Rec Area, FL. Krista and I spent the day canoeing in this nice little river rec area. We didn't have any way of getting a ride back to our truck, so we just paddled around the area near the parking lot. This is a cool spot, with dark dark water and white sandy banks, it makes a really cool contrast. Here are some shots of the trees and water that surround the river banks. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. After spending the morning at Rosario Beach, we decided to go to the tulip festival which we had heard about. There are several farms in the area which grow tulips and daffodils, and every year when they bloom they attract people from all over to come walk through the fields and see the beautiful flowers. Our Trip to Fredericksburg, TX. We took a class trip to the small German town of Fredericksburg, Texas. It's home to the Nimitz Museum, as well as the National Museum of the Pacific War and several great German breweries and restaurants. We went to the museums and had a great meal at the Fredericksburg Brewery Co. This is me hanging from the town limits sign of Mason, TX. This is a photo of the exhibit about the assassination of Admiral Yamamoto during WWII.

Our Adoption Journey
Tuesday, November 13, 2012. I wanted to write one last post.with some pictures of Peyton! We have settled in and are doing great! Sothis is what has been happening in the last few weeks. Since we have been home, we have been in contact with Peyton's birth mom. We have been sending picture text messages of Peyton almost every other day. She will write back with joy on how Peyton is doing and just how adorable he is! He is eating like a piglet though! He already eats as much as his 3 month older cousin!
