http://balvanzfamily.blogspot.com/2011/04/adjusting.html
Life without your husband for 24 hours or more can get a little crazy. Would I change it? Tuesday, April 5, 2011. The Balvanz's are adjusting to mommy going back to work full-time. And after 6 weeks, I am happy to report that everyone-including mommy-is just fine! It was the first place we visited, I loved the director from the start, which was over the phone! The first day was hard of course, Ava was already use to going to pre-school so she couldn't wait to get off her coat and meet new friends! A week...

Notes from Serenity: First Day of School 2013
http://ourserenity.blogspot.com/2013/08/first-day-of-school-2013.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. First Day of School 2013. Kevin and I were at WalMart (on a protein shake mission) and I told him I need to find another small ice block for lunches. "The two we have aren't enough? Yeah I forgot we had three kids in school too. Everything in first grade is VERY exciting. This one has been ready. Before we took her to school yesterday she was already proclaiming that she likes it. I'm sure she's making an impression. I still find it hard to believe that she spends ...K to the ...

Notes from Serenity: Visiting Aunt Bev
http://ourserenity.blogspot.com/2013/08/visiting-aunt-bev.html
Thursday, August 15, 2013. I am very blessed to have loving Great Aunts. My mom's aunts are wonderful women with a very special place in my heart. Most of them are out of state so we don't get to see them often. But Aunt Bev is right here in California! This trip served as a great warm up for our week long vacation down south. I didn't even plan it that way! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Brand of Serenity. Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm. I'm Patrick, I'm eight!

On top of all that he loved playing water polo this summer. He even scored a whole bunch of goals. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Brand of Serenity. I will tell you how...

A Firefighter's Wife: Autumn in Colorado
http://balvanzfamily.blogspot.com/2010/10/autumn-in-colorado.html
Life without your husband for 24 hours or more can get a little crazy. Would I change it? Saturday, October 2, 2010. It's kind of like the saying "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." We have been in Colorado for 9 1/2 years and only one other time driven up into the mountains to see the aspens change color. I always thought "What's the big deal? She loved walking around pressing the buttons on the interactive displays, discovering, and learning. (Perhaps she has a lot of papa Rick in her, that remind...

A Firefighter's Wife: February 2011
http://balvanzfamily.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Life without your husband for 24 hours or more can get a little crazy. Would I change it? Monday, February 28, 2011. I hate change. I avoid it like the plague. But a few months ago, I started thinking that things needed to change. I am a good mom and I love my children so much, but I started to notice a change in me when I worked 3 days a week as opposed to none. I was much calmer, nicer, and excited to be home when I worked more! I know it makes no sense! Posted by Balvanz Family. Links to this post.

A Firefighter's Wife: May 2010
http://balvanzfamily.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Life without your husband for 24 hours or more can get a little crazy. Would I change it? Thursday, May 13, 2010. My Mom is a genius. My mom is a genius. Ok, maybe not the technical definition, but she has helped me get past the hump in the road. You see I have a problem. I can't see past the trees, I have trouble thinking outside of the box. If there are rules I follow them.to a "T". That's the problem, there are allows grey areas. Posted by Balvanz Family. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
