Denise grew up surrounded by books, and serendipitously discovered the excitement of being out at sea and travelling. It helps also that her father was a boatman – its all in the genes she thinks. Without a good sense of direction, Denise has the tendency to fall headlong into scraps in every city she has visited. August 3, 2014. Almost 24, almost quarter-century. What a milestone – what have I achieved? The older I am, the more I realise that the brave are not the ones who travel. The brave ones are the ones who knuckle down, count their coins, give up the wants, and support their families both financially and emotionally.
