One year in Australia.and other stories. Pork Chops for Dinner. Food is the way to my heart. There is nothing I like better than an easy to make/ delicious recipe. This one, from The Food Section. Fooled me into thinking I had cooking skills. The blog doesn't contain an exact recipe, but even my terrible guess-the-portions skills couldn't mess this up. Pan-Roasted Pork Chops cooked in Sage and Garlic. Some members of my family are calorie counters, so I totaled them up using WebMD. When life gets you down.

In between the finals games this weekend (and there are plenty of them: national, state and local footy, and rugby which I am considerably less familiar with), I managed to escape long enough to finally visit the Werribee Open Range Zoo. One year in Australia.and other stories. A Day in Warrnambool. It takes two hours to get to Warrnambool from Geelong on back country roads with sheep on one side and cows on the other - until all you see is cows everywhere. You are now in dairy country. You don't have to travel as out of the way as we did, but it made for better scenery (and less traffic). About half way through the trip I thought I was seeing things:. Jess' Adventures in Brazil. Thursday, September 07, 2006. Still thinking like a brazillian. Waited for the cars to pass before crossing the street (when they stopped it felt weird). Looked for the garbage can on the kitchen counter. Almost threw the toilet paper in the garbage. Said tchau to people. Thought I had to ask for help in portuguese. Almost kissed someone on the cheek when I greeted them. Thought it would be ok if I was a few minutes late. Scared my friends by greeting them with a big hug.
