daysgoby: out in the moonlight
http://jessalogic.blogspot.com/2013/04/out-in-moonlight.html
Monday, April 1, 2013. Out in the moonlight. Maud's face was taut with rage. "Katherine Alice. How could you sit here and listen to.to this nonsense! I loved your mother.". I goggled at her, unsure if I was really seeing her or not. "Maud? Why are you here? She snorted, delicately, and stepped into the seat Clay scrambled to offer. Ignoring his furious blush and his protests that he hadn't meant it, that he'd only thought she was involved in the beginning, she looked straight at me, seething. Maud was vi...

http://jessalogic.blogspot.com/2015/07/wow-all-babies-have-grown-up.html
Friday, July 3, 2015. Wow, all the babies have grown up. Hi there, I found your blog via Google while searching for such kinda informative post and your post looks very interesting for me. Thu Jan 07, 03:15:00 AM AST. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Atlantic Coast, Canada. Big city smartass girl marries small town earnest boy, moves to new country, has a dog, two children and three thick-furred cats. The kids yell, the dog barks, and the cats shed. (sigh) Someone hand me more coffee.

Sunday, March 3, 2013. Porter tried another tack. "Dad, when did Minna and Maud last talk? I thought for a minute. "So Maud just took Dover and I and left Daddy here? He nodded. "Phillip was like a sleepwalker. He wasn't very capable of taking care of you, Kitty. He didn't really know what to do with a baby - Alice had taken care of Dover - and when you would fuss he'd try to figure out what was wrong and then get irritable when you wouldn't stop crying. It wasn't the best situation. Links to this post.
daysgoby: December 2012
http://jessalogic.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 13, 2012. It was something, Porter told me, hunting for words, his eyes focusing on events far back in time, that he remembered from when he was a boy. Something that had stayed with him, but until he heard my mothers story and met me hadn't really made any sense. I slid my my fingers around his, noticing that his hand was cold in mine. "It sounds like your Dad was really upset when Mama disappeared, Porter. Were they friends? I nodded. "Tomorrow.". Links to this post. Crap in my head.
daysgoby: ripples of memory
http://jessalogic.blogspot.com/2013/04/ripples-of-memory.html
Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Her chin came up and she looked like her old fierce self. "I searched all over. Usually she just stalked the paths near the house, but that night I ran all the way down to the lower garden before I saw her.". I didn't dare move. Or breathe. Maud drew a shuddery breath and went on. Clay made a stifled noise. "The river! He half-whispered. "The river flooded its banks that night! She never came back up.". I was fighting down sobs. "Why didn't you go after her? She nodded. "I wen...

Watch Us Grow!: Shop work
http://rickihasablog.blogspot.com/2015/07/shop-work.html
Because nothing stays the same. Friday, July 3, 2015. We had some rock from various places in the new yard that I didn't know what to do with. I also had an ugly bottom to the front porch at the shop. The plants aren't much to look at yet (HD rescues) so it's not all that impressive but these two pictures give you an idea of the before and after. Next project will be the side of the porch but I have to figure out something that likes shade (north side) and that deer don't like! Good job mom :).

Because nothing stays the same. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Day 3- final travel day. Day 3 was some gorgeous scenery. Of course pictures don't convey the magnitude. The Grand Canyon was Grand! And here I made sure to get their feet in the picture so we'd know how tall R is compared to Dad :). We even found REAL coffee in Flagstaff! We drive thru Sedona, had dinner at In and Out, got in to Tucson and stopped for essential groceries. Then we got to the apartment and SUPRISE! The kids were waiting for us! Tomor...

Books for 2010 | Going to Pieces
https://goingtopieces.wordpress.com/books-for-2010
So I have decided to read again, after having spent several years just falling asleep to a book, rather than actively devouring it. Since I travel to work by car, I don’t have the luxury of a 20 minute journey on public journey, when I don’t have to be doing anything else. Although I don’t miss the daily commute on slightly unreliable trains, I do miss that time. This will be a list of books that I read this year. Please feel free to add your comments or thoughts. Pre-1st January to present. And really e...

Day 5 – end of part 1. The Edge (100WCGU#3) →. July 12, 2011 · 10:11 pm. 100 Word Challenge #100WC. One of the things I have been doing in my absence from this blog (hello, waves, remember me? Is a recently started Open University course. I’m trying to broaden my options and so signed up for an Openings unit (one of those courses that are gentle entrances into more challenging units). That word count restriction was obviously still buzzing in my veins when I stumbled across Julia’s challenge. What does i...

The Moon Knows My Name →. August 4, 2011 · 9:57 pm. Gosh, this was a hard one in The Head’s Office 100 Word Challenge. This week. In previous weeks, participants have been given a phrase or picture as a prompt for our writing. This week, Julia has given us 5 beautiful words, selected from this list. They are Ripple Brood Evocative Lilt Untoward. So here’s my submission for this week:. There was nothing untoward. I continued, then cursed at my choice of words, as the girl’s accusing eyes narrowed further.

Jess Allsop Training Dogs for life
Sunday, July 4, 2010. House Training Your Puppy. HOUSE TRAINING YOUR PUPPY. Housesoiling is a spatial problem. Your puppydog has been allowed to eliminate in the wrong place. Housesoiling quickly becomes a bad habit because dogs develop strong location, substrate, and olfactory preferences for their improvised indoor toilet areas. To housetrain your puppydog: first, prevent any more mistakes; and second, teach your puppydog where you would like him to eliminate. Jess Allsop Training Dogs for life. Dogs a...

Monday, 22 May 2017. We are all amalgamations of our upbinging. Good or bad, that's just the way the chips fall, and it's up to each one of us to tweak these parts and bits and make ourselves into who we want to be. That process can take years. A lifetime, even. I love them. I've been smiling all night. If you do nice things. Back to work tomorrow. Links to this post. Saturday, 20 May 2017. Lovely day Lovely day (A lovely day)*.
