Monster Town: September 2004
http://monstertown.blogspot.com/2004_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 30, 2004. Raphaella by Cayce Zavaglia.amazing embroidery on linen. Posted by zelia at 1:25 PM. Some of the paintings in that photo are still in progress. My idea for this show is to do 30 or 4o paintings on these small blocks of wood that I got at Creative Reuse, and sell them for super cheap. $10-20 each, and I'll get %70 of that. I thought they would look neat in a large grouping, and I also want to do some that tell a little narrative story. Posted by zelia at 1:16 PM. And then whe...

Monster Town: May 2005
http://monstertown.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 27, 2005. Oh dear. i have found a new love. encaustic painting! It's got everything good. texture, luminosity, it's both additive and subtractive. subtle, delicate, weird and antiquated, plus it smells heavenly and is slightly dangerous. I'm hooked. i'll post photos when i come up with something worth seeing. Sorry about the no caps.still carpally, but my ebay empire is growing! Posted by zelia at 8:37 PM. Tuesday, May 24, 2005. Monster Town: October 2004
http://monstertown.blogspot.com/2004_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2004. I've been working like a mad weasel, making stuff, filing papers, and thinking thinking thinking. The little taste of success that I had this month has made me so happy. And it's given me confidence that the things I'm making are worthwhile, and that there may be people out there who want to have them. I have some plans for marketing, and there are lots of people I know who I am wanting to ask if I can carry their work. Posted by zelia at 4:56 PM. Friday, October 22, 2004.

Monster Town: November 2004
http://monstertown.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 23, 2004. I suppose this has become less of a personal blog, and more of a blog about making art and stuff. I hope that it isn't too dull. I took my portfolio down to Boomerang today, hopefully I'll hear back tomorrow about what she thought of it. It would be really fun to have a show there, I think. I had to drive back to SR and then to Sebastopol to get the kids, and from there it's a long haul through dinner and bedtime and all that. Posted by zelia at 9:52 PM. I'm awake early, the k...

Monster Town: February 2005
http://monstertown.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2005. I finished my homework, and then got all sleepy. Scott and I watched a documentary about Ancient Egypt, and were out cold by 9:30, which made the Sunday go by way too quickly for my taste. Today I did more listings and more thrift shopping and got groceries and cleaned the kitchen. I found a super soft Italian cashmere sweater today, and I listed it for cheap, and then I found out that it was probably $800 new! Posted by zelia at 6:09 PM. Sunday, February 27, 2005. What a blur ...

Monster Town: December 2004
http://monstertown.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 20, 2004. I worked my tail off and made lots of good stuff for the craft fair, and so did my friend Justine, but to no avail. We didn't really sell anything and we both ended up tired and grouchy and with sore backs from being crammed into a little corner. Plus we got a parking ticket. On the up side, the people were all really nice, and everybody had good stuff and I bought and traded for some good xmas presents. Posted by zelia at 5:30 PM. Friday, December 17, 2004. No time.no time.
