Well I actually made a joke to DeeDee yesterday about not seeing any Moose all week on the dog walks, because I have seen them from afar in a lake while driving or on the side of the road, but not in the woods. A Summer in Alaska. Monday, May 21, 2012. Blackstone Bay, Whittier AK. I learned a lot during our camping trip this weekend. I was lucky enough to have some experienced Alaskans with me that helped me get over some anxiety I had about the wilderness and the sea. Blackstone Bay is located south of Whittier, Alaska on the western edge of Prince William Sound. You can kayak to it from Whittier, which takes a couple of days, or you can take a Water Taxi ( http:/ www.epicchartersalaska.com/. There were 6 of us.

A Summer in Alaska. Thursday, May 24, 2012. Dogs with Views Make Life Better. Alaska was beautiful today. Weather Channel said rain, but we got full sun and clear mountains. I actually have a great tan considering I haven't even been here for a full week. But I do have the infamous sunglass tan. Here is is a view I had for about an hour while walking two Huskies. If you know me at all, you know I really like visuals like this. I am a lucky girl to love my job and be able to see things like this.

Thursday, June 25, 2015. We bought this Pottery Barn kids chair at a garage sale for $3. I later bought the checkered pink one at a second hand store. See bottom picture! 1st child decided that her blue chair needed sprucing up! She wanted pink so we bought this! First time using dye! After a successful dye job I added more stuffing to the arms from an old body pillow! Pink chair and #1 is happy! I'm pretty pleased how it turned out too! Must find another chair to do this do!
