Hooking is Awesome: December 2012
http://hookingisawesome.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 7, 2012. I needed a quick little yarn gift,. So I adapted a slipper pattern I had made myself. And came up with some tiny little slippers. This is for a pair of sli ppers that are. 4" long and approx. 2 1/4" at widest part of foot. Using a size G hook. Just like in socks/slippers, start a base row to fit your toe line. Djust the amount of chains for your size needed. Base Row (for toe line) : Ch 3. Work in -round from now on). 3) - 11.) sc around (18 sc tot al). To form heel area :.

Hooking is Awesome: I love this pattern!
http://hookingisawesome.blogspot.com/2013/12/i-love-this-pattern.html
Sunday, December 1, 2013. I love this pattern! I found this pattern on Craftsy. And knew that I had to give it a try! I am SOOO happy that I did! Not only is it easy peasy, but I found myself moving on to create my own little finishes to them.no hood just a collar, and vests! Very versatile and fun to play with. Basically the netting pattern, so a great project for the evening "unwind/relax" time. I added a row of sc trim at the edge of the sleeves in. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Hooking is Awesome: Bags...bags...
http://hookingisawesome.blogspot.com/2013/12/bagsbags.html
Monday, December 23, 2013. Cross-body bag all finished! I started making this one with just an idea in mind, no pattern. I started out with the front/back of the bag, then made the sides (4 dc's wide) attaching the metal square-rings for the strap. I then added a top flap to cover the zippered top (just rows of sc's edged with sc's) and made a lining out of blue minky fabric. Adding the owl with a few stitches and it's done! The last Christmas gift made! Inside the flap, zippered lining.

Hooking is Awesome: October 2012
http://hookingisawesome.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 8, 2012. I really do hate wearing socks.but I love all the bright yarns I've picked up lately. The little "leftover" balls have been piling up in my yarn basket, begging for something to be done. This time I took the time to jot down the rows as I did them, no going back and guessing later hehe! I started out boxing/ doing a heel. But then pulled that back. And now I am just hooking in a basic sock/tube sock form. I like the look much better. And then begin the next one! I like to use my ...

To start a baby blanket out of the basic granny square pattern! We don't have red meat often, so this night was a real treat! Monday, January 14, 2013. Having all the bright colorful yarn around me. Inspired me to take on a larger project this Christmas. And attempt a sweater! Of course I couldn't just pick a sweater pattern that was for a size that I was making. So I put together this one for our youngest niece Allie. I adorned it with a few hooked flowers to the bottom. And found some pretty pink flower buttons! Now just to get a photo of her in it! Monday, January 7, 2013. A day of peaceful hooking. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Help my straps are lifeless! My bag straps are lifeless! I thought I would post this here :). Are your bag handles, straps, wrist strap, etc looking a little wilted? This avoids any scorching etc. What setting should I use-. Steam and high heat helps on the cotton and linen fabrics! Mixed cotton fabrics use a medium heat setting. Thank you ...
