Imagery from Life: Courting the House!
http://imageryfromlife.blogspot.com/2013/06/courting-house.html
Tuesday, June 18, 2013. What did you do on Saturday? Mine involved a some courting of the house! This is a rather grand old building and one that I have always wanted to spend some time perusing through a camera lens. There are pillars, columns, bricks, and stones galore on the courthouse. In fact there is enough ornamental architecture to please just about anyone! Funnily enough, even with a gorgeous building I still found myself taking photos of trees. Hmmm I do so like playing with the aperture! We're...

http://imageryfromlife.blogspot.com/2015/06/on-kitchen-bench.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2015. On the kitchen bench. Did I say we're shearing? Did I say that when you're shearing you go through a lot of food? A lot And so, consequently there's been a lot of foodstuffs on the kitchen bench lately. Some of it's pretty. Some not so pretty. Here's some of the prettier stuff. Courtesy of my phone. Snapped quickly as the prep work commenced, or continued. Or as the shopping was put away after the farmer's markets. And then we have some eggs in the bowl. A used bowl! But I do si...

Imagery from Life: Lamb Marking
http://imageryfromlife.blogspot.com/2012/06/lamb-marking.html
Friday, June 1, 2012. First the whole mob of ewes and lambs is brought into the yard. Then the lambs are drafted out and the noise starts! They all realise that their own personal mobile feeding unit has been removed. They don't realise it's only a temporary arrangement and so they start calling out for it's return. And as any mother knows, when a child calls you answer! And so the ewes start baa-ing in reply! And on it goes. The lambs probably do too! Well, there's another Friday at the farm. This w...

Imagery from Life: Fields of cotton
http://imageryfromlife.blogspot.com/2013/04/fields-of-cotton.html
Monday, April 29, 2013. Ever seen a field of cotton? We visited some last week and it was pretty cool! The cotton we saw was just about to be harvested, in fact they started picking it while we were there. So the green, growing bush had been spray so that the protective bill (seed capsule) around the cotton would crack open allowing the cotton to be removed. The capsule itself is like a hard wooden casing, once this splits open the cotton dries out and starts to resemble a cotton ball (funny that! This b...

Imagery from Life: The shearing is all over.
http://imageryfromlife.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-shearing-is-all-over.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. The shearing is all over. The shearing is all over. We've written all the cheques (and done the EFT's). We've rolled up the wool boys,. And man we need a rest! Here's the last pen of sheep on the last day, wethers waiting for their turn. I thought it worth capturing. I was waiting too, for this whole shearing caper to be done. Sorted and our sheep lined up. Then you 'roll' the fleece up (top pic shows this) and the wool classer checks it out. I love the look of the rolled fleec...

The Paris Weekend, Street Style - Vicki Archer
http://vickiarcher.com/2012/09/the-paris-weekend-and-what-the-girls-were-wearing
The Paris Weekend, Street Style. In Paris it seems that many of the girls wear oxford/brogue lace ups with shorter jeans and pants… boyfriend style or straighter leg… but definitely an above the ankle pant… I understand that you could be thinking… ‘school shoes’… is she crazy? Let me say, there was nothing schoolmarmish about the girls I saw wearing these shoes… and there was no age limit either… older, younger and in-between were looking pretty fabulous in their lace-ups. THE ‘PARIS’ WEEKEND. What a won...
