http://www.consumedbybooks.com/2016/03/review-of-list-by-siobhan-vivian.html
Monday, March 7, 2016. Review of The List by Siobhan Vivian. An intense look at the rules of high school attraction - and the price that's paid for them. It happens every year. A list is posted, and one girl from each grade is chosen as the prettiest, and another is chosen as the ugliest. Nobody knows who makes the list. It almost doesn't matter. The damage is done the minute it goes up. Some people whose opinions I put pretty high trust in have read and loved The List. The messages in this story about p...

Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Review of If You Could Be Mine by Sara Farizan. In this stunning debut, a young Iranian American writer pulls back the curtain on one of the most hidden corners of a much-talked-about culture. If You Could Be Mine. Is a book that immediately intrigued me: two women! Set in another country! In retrospect, I should have anticipated that it wouldn’t quite work for my reading tastes, since shorter books aren’t always my thing. The writing here is subpar. There is a lot of tellin...

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Review of Stolen by Lucy Christopher. It happened like this. I was stolen from an airport. Taken from everything I knew, everything I was used to. Taken to sand and heat, dirt and danger. And he expected me to love him. This is my story. A letter from nowhere. Without a doubt, my favorite part of Stolen. Is the landscape. Christopher's Outback is a place that is remote, beautiful, and terrifying with descriptions so vivid that you can almost feel how dry the entire place is&#...

Here are my favorites of the year. This was a fantastic follow up to Seraphina. Gave me so many feels. I enjoyed Grave Mercy.
