Sometimes You Just Have to Leave the Bed Unmade: Enna: 14 months
http://krenee.sksimmons.com/2014/10/enna-14-months.html
Tuesday, October 7, 2014. My girl, you are the life of the party around here. We enjoy you so much. Every single day just gets better with you. You started walking this month and haven't stopped going since. Once you decided that you wanted to walk, you were determined to see it happen and did not give up until you were cruising around like it was second nature. I am so glad that you joined our lives and grateful for all the fun you bring. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Starting a New Year. All the ...

Change | Perching on the Inside

Perching on the Inside. Thoughts, experiences, and observations from the perch of my heart. A little about myself…. April 21, 2011 – 4:08 am. I love change. One of the most invigorating things for me to do is paint a wall, rearrange furniture, chop my hair, get a new shirt, or watch things grow. Even my work is constantly changing- people coming in and out, new relationships are forming, and steps are being taken to expand our vision in Spokane. Does change invigorate you, too? Sometimes You Just Have to Leave the Bed Unmade: March 2014

Thursday, March 27, 2014. Family Health: Essential Oils, Natural Remedies, and Where We Buy Stuff. This post has been in development for awhile now. Our approach to health has been ever evolving over the past 6 months and I have been asked several times about some of these changes, but thought maybe doing one comprehensive blog post might be a good way to share. Seemed to have much of what I was looking for so I gave it a trial run and ordered my first oils in November. Why I Choose Heritage. This is a b...

Sometimes You Just Have to Leave the Bed Unmade: June 2014
http://krenee.sksimmons.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2014. My dear, you are just about 2.5 weeks shy of one year and it kills me to think that my baby is indeed growing up. That being said, you are so much fun right now! You are saying a few words now: Mama, Dada, bath (ba or da), uh-oh, hi, and night-night (na na). You make lots of noises for different phrases and repeat sounds that we make. You wave goodbye, sign all done, and love to makes "indian" noises. After a few weeks of sleeping all night, you developed a virus (Roseola) and were...

Sometimes You Just Have to Leave the Bed Unmade: May 2014

Friday, May 30, 2014. Five Minute Friday- Nothing. This is my first time participating in the 5 minute Friday writing challenge. I love the freedom in taking just 5 minutes to write-unedited and real. I would love for you to join me in this! Check out Lisa-Jo Baker's Five Minute Friday Challenge here. That is what I want to do most days. I wish I had nothing. To do but indulge my every whim, to sit in my pj's, take a long hot shower, read a book, paint a room. But really, who am I kidding? And I love you...

Sometimes You Just Have to Leave the Bed Unmade: December 2013
http://krenee.sksimmons.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. And at it's culmination, I feel a love-hate relationship with 2013. Oh, this year. This year was tough for me. I was pregnant for 1/2 of it (and miserably so) and then I gave birth and found myself floundering in this motherhood x3 state where I felt completely out of control, sleep deprived, and unsure of myself. Oh 2013, when I look at what I was like this year, I feel a little ashamed. But, there's HOPE.and I'm sure JOY and PEACE are waiting to be found too! I am so very pr...

Sometimes You Just Have to Leave the Bed Unmade: Summer Recap
http://krenee.sksimmons.com/2014/08/summer-recap.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Our summer ended up being much busier than I had originally expected. We had a few weeks at the beginning where it felt like we were moving from one thing to another with not a lot of breathing room in between. We attended (and volunteered) at our church's VBS,. During which our living room downstairs flooded,. We went to Lawrence to visit my parents,. We read a lot,. Enna had Roseola,. The kids had swimming lessons for 2 weeks straight,. We went to a skate party,. And than she ...

Sometimes You Just Have to Leave the Bed Unmade: Nora's Birthday Tea
http://krenee.sksimmons.com/2014/10/noras-birthday-tea.html
Saturday, October 4, 2014. For Nora's 4th birthday we had a small little tea party with just a few friends (2 from church and 2 from our neighborhood). It was by far the easiest birthday party I have planned to date. Girl parties are so much easier for me than boy ones! However, I was still running around last minute trying to get things together. Then, we made some necklaces with some fun beads I found. I snapped a couple quick photos of the table set up for the tea. Our second craft was making crowns o...
