I've now found out I'm leaving the 10th so two more days with my family and now I'm not leaving on my mother's birthday! Training is in Thies, Senegal. I'll be living with a host family there. I'll likely live with a family my whole time in Senegal, particularly because I am female. Then I have to say goodbye to her! 10 or 11 months.

Gambia, April and Orange! I spent the last weeks in March in Sokone working on various projects. I was actually surprisingly busy going from various meetings and doing other prep work. I have very busy the past several weeks and will continue to be so until mid-Jan at least. My cousin Anya is coming in 10 days for a visit. of 10 days! I am glad I still have 10 months left. I don't want any more or any less. Lots of plans are going through my head right now for after peace corps. My birthday is now less then 2 weeks away!

When I was a little girl I couldn't stop singing.Later on, as I was growing up I realized that I wanted to have a place to sing - other than just to my parents or in my own room. During this time through 2004 I was taking voice lessons with Katrina Armando. I also do some work for my local church when I am typically performing solo selections for the holiday services as well as being requested for funeral services.
