My first encounter with a harp occurred, oddly enough, in my very own backyard! My parents hosted a wedding reception on their property and I was delighted to discover that a harpist had been hired to play. I was nine years old at the time, and I can remember sitting on the grass transfixed all afternoon. My mother, noting my intense interest, suggested I try lessons for the summer. 21 years later I’m still playing and loving it!

Over the years I have had the opportunity to play for family and friends in times of illness and during the end of life process. I have been very moved by the healing quality of music and its ability to express emotions in a way words cannot. I have completed classes through MHTP to become a Certified Music Practitioner. The curriculum I followed is based on the scientific studies in the field of Music-Medicine and is also a governed by The National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians (NSBTM).

Playing for my first wedding at 13 years old was a thrilling experience and I have loved weddings ever since! It has been my privilege to participate in many ceremonies over the years and I have enjoyed seeing how each one is so unique and special. My wedding packages include:. 10-20 minute prelude as guests are arriving. Processional of the wedding party. Special music during the ceremony. Recessional of the wedding party. 10 min postlude as guests leave the venue.
