365 days. About a million things to see and do. Bring it on, Nihon! Monday, October 10, 2011. The long-awaited final installment of my blog has finally arrived! I apologize in advance. Honestly, it's taken far longer to wrap this blog up than it should have. I would try to spend some time coming up with some viable e...

Adventures in Japan: November 2010

http://www.jessicaintakko.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

365 days. About a million things to see and do. Bring it on, Nihon! Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Best of Both Worlds. This weekend was truly the best of both worlds for me. No, I'm not referencing the fallen Disney star Miley Cyrus.I'm talking about enjoying the wonders of partying it up Japanese-style one day and then making a trip to Little America the next. Let's start of the beginning, since that is always a very good place to start. Its one saving grace was that it had karaoke and after a few quick...

365 days. About a million things to see and do. Bring it on, Nihon! Thursday, March 24, 2011. Anything about it. But please trust me when I say that simply reaching out and offering those kind words, prayers, and well wishes is making a world of difference to the people of Japan. The following is my observation over the past thirteen days of the challenges, big and small, that people living in Japan have faced and how they are handling it. In spite of going days without power. This weekend, I'm hoping to...

365 days. About a million things to see and do. Bring it on, Nihon! Monday, February 28, 2011. Just Another Aomori Weekend. In light of two very eventful weekends in a row, when I realized I didn't have anything big planned for this past weekend, I was relieved. The pile of laundry that had been staring at me all week and my sad, empty refrigerator were happy to hear that I'd have some free time. But as the end of the work week approached, plans quickly changed, of course. Next, Nanbu Ben was gushing abo...

365 days. About a million things to see and do. Bring it on, Nihon! Friday, October 22, 2010. The Month of October. So much to my mother's dismay, I've been falling behind on updates. So sorry. While life here may seem like all fun and games, it really isn't. Okay, so a lot of it is, but I do have a job and this past month was a smack-on-the-head reminder that I am employed. Takko 2009.oohh good times :). Takko Garlic Ladies '09 and '10. With Garlic Queens '09 and '10. Teppan yaki nom noms. But this woul...

http://tsurutamonogatari.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Tales of the Field of Cranes. Welcome to my blog about my experiences in Japan! Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Oh man it's been hot lately. Temperatures are in the 20's (celsius) and humidity is high, sometimes 95%! And then another day finding a working fishing pole at the bottom of the ocean! The Japan Sea is nice, it seems saltier than the other places I've swam but it's fairly warm, somewhere between the Columbia and the Pacific Ocean, so you can just keep swimming all day.
