Our fight for maturity – Jessica Letchford
https://jessicaletchford.wordpress.com/2015/08/05/our-fight-for-maturity
A child of God learning to see herself the way God does and thrive in the world he’s given her to live in! Also a fan of happy music, good books, little kids, sunny days, successful runs, ripe passionfruit, camping trips, interesting adjectives, travelling adventures, and brown paper packages tied up with string. Thank you so much for stopping by to my blog! I’m never booking flights online again. It’s okay to struggle. Facebook does funny things to my head. Sitting on a dead horse. Our fight for maturity.

Has been the message God has gently spoken over the past few years. He longs to pull us close and bind up our wounds with grace. God desires peace for us. He is intentional with His love and gentle. His promises are outrageous for us. joy strengthens us in the process. The very faint beginnings of spring never cease to amaze me. the way the grass desperately tries to peek through the snow is all too subtle if don’t look long enough. i learned something new this year as i watch spring beginn...In the mids...

Jubilant in Jesus: June 2011
http://maessuperblogaboutgodsworld.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Last trip to Borders…. So what’s all the fuss about? Well, Borders is THE biggest bookshop I have ever seen. Seriously, it’s massive. And it has a coffee shop in the very heart of it. (Ever smelt the combination of the scents of new books and coffee? Well, you should.) And, considering the price of the books, a sale is welcomed with open arms by everybody. We stepped out into the cold and walked to a Chinese restaurant to have Yum Cha. Levi woke up after we had paid, so Dad got Mu...

Jubilant in Jesus: June 2012
http://maessuperblogaboutgodsworld.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 19, 2012. I am sitting at the computer listening to owl city {my favourite :D}. I just finished an excellent book. The little ones are playing happily at the table. Mum is most likely snuggled on the couch with a good book, enjoying the window of sunshine. Timothy is working on some invention of sorts. Utter bliss. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,. Romans 8:31-39, ESV.

8230;let us [sail] with endurance the [regatta] that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1. My journey to and through med school…. The little hospital in Victoria Falls that started it all. God’s timing is perfect, even when He makes you wait. The doctor I want to become. On keeping it real. The autonomic nervous system – Africa style! Sometimes… I’m scared. The joy of an enquiring mind. The day I discovered that I like anatomy! Just little old me and dozens of cadavers. When I am weak. My thoughts on turning 21.

8230;let us [sail] with endurance the [regatta] that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1. My walk with God. January 2, 2013. 8220;Let us [sail] with endurance…” (Heb 12:1). This verse from Hebrews has been the motto for my blog right from the very beginning. This past year, the enduring part has become very real for me. I have been hanging on desperately, fingernails scratching into the edge of the metaphorical cliff, and trying very hard not to look down as bits of earth and pebbles tumble down past me.

There are more stories and outlets than ever, but a troubling cycle is playing out:. The race for pageviews and ad dollars is causing publications to focus on quantity over quality. The Lester File
Tuesday, February 02, 2010. Jan 31, 2010. Dad started to think that the notion of traveling 22 hours in a train like this wasn't such a bad idea after all. I started to feel the exciting sensation that adventure was approaching or at least that I had won the jackpot. That I had found the best, cheapest, most interesting way to travel long distances. I was going to see America! February 1, 2010. With a groan, I started sending text messages to my friends in Chicago who were waiting for me to arrive. B...

Jessica Letchford | life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful
Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful. One of the things I love about living here in Laos is the friends I've made here, both foreigners and Lao. In my first few weeks of being here, I noticed an American girl with waist-length red hair come in a couple of times (okay so I didn't know she was American at the time, … Continue reading Villaging! Sometimes you are forced to deal with the darkest side of yourself. Today, I'm ashamed of how I reacted, and I'm upset at the inability I displayed at controlling my own emotions. Not only that, but the entire episode was ineffectual. He apologized. Views any more than before the conversation. And what could I have learned from him? 12) You feel th...
