Monday, April 9, 2012. One of our recent assignments was to work in the studio with the strobes. Our professor said that this transition is often difficult as it takes some time to become comfortable with the equipment to get the look that you want. For me it was just love at first.shoot? I could work in the studio with strobes every day of my life and be content. I really wanted to try my hand at a fashion shoot and I had so much fun. Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Tuesday, January 8, 2013. One of the other things I'm attempting this year is to batch cook our meals so that we eat out less often while making meal preparation a little easier on myself. This weekend was my first cook (and boy did I cook! I think I was cooking for 12-14 hours between two days), and tonight was the second night of eating the meals I had prepared. This was a feature shot in the desert about a deaf mute girl who becomes possessed by a warrior spirit and takes revenge on her killers. A sizzle reel was shot before I joined the team therefore we only had one hero dress. I scoured the internet for a multiple of it but had to piece together trim from other similar dresses and fabrics to recreate this very specific dress. An indie film pitch I did based on a graphic novel currently being developed. I had to create several different villains.
