On faith, food, family and frugality. As the ongoing mission to clean my house continues, I found these within the sheets of a miscellaneous legal pad. From almost a year and a half ago, I’m not sure about the context. I only know they are about infant loss, both miscarriage and stillbirth. On Sorrow’s face. Born whole and round. And full of days. Yet no breath he drew. No cry he raised. He went fresh from womb. To final resting place. Oh Sorrow, Sorrow, Sorrow. When four are whole. And one is dead.

Monday, October 19, 2015. Looking at jess today, it's hard to believe she had a spinal fusion 29 days ago! At 10 days post-op, jess had 51 staples removed. This was the first time she has had staples and I hope she never has them again! That's was a tuff day watching each one get pulled out. We decided to send jess to school the following Monday (two weeks after surgery). Jess was very excited when she got on the bus and did very well through the week. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Jess is doing great, and recovering nicely from her surgery. She has been home since last Thursday. She is being a very good patient :), and taking lots of naps! I know that it's hard for Jess to sit around doing nothing, but those are pretty much the doctor's orders! Every day is better than the day before. Obviously, her chest area is still very sore, thank God for Advil! God Bless you all, and thanks again for loving our Jessie so much! Liz, Jess and Nancy. There ya have it!
