Jess in Kenya. A lab instructing, PE teaching SMerf who gets to hang out with Jesus. Saturday, June 18, 2011. The final Sabbath. The sun's finally decided to come out, and with it, my white shorts and even whiter legs. Dale's guitar is joining the birds' songs on a warm afternoon. I've toted my camera about all day, just ready for. well, I don't know. It's the last Sabbath! I've got my camera and journal ready, but I know I'm going to miss something. I'm going to miss nearly everything, in fact.

I've decided that everyone is inherently decent, and i'm going to be bold enough to test that theory. I finally allowed myself (or maybe myself allowed I) to get excited when I boarded the flight to Chicago. I guess I was trying to play it safe? How wrong of me! What have I done that makes me any different? Am I becoming haughty simply because I had opportunity to live away from home longer?

Sunday, June 27, 2010. My First Sabbath in Greece. Sitting by the sea watching the sun go down on Friday evening; such a great place to welcome in the Sabbath. We sat along the shore and the kids from Walla Walla presented a sundown worship for the rest of the group. We sat along this retention wall and watched the sun, but it was so hazy over Athens that we couldn't really see the sun at all. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Arizona: Papa Leo Visit/ Birding Trip. Good words to meditate on for all the visitors at the Grand Canyon. Dad is standing, overlooking 'Montezuma's Well'. We didn't have to study or exert excessive amounts of brain power for anything. It was a great time simply soaking up the sunshine, snorkeling in the crystal clear water, and jumping off more cliffs. This album of photos is just a glimpse of how beautiful the island of Hydra really is. It was almost like paradise. Hydra's main port village.

Friday, October 29, 2010. The other night I found a Tarantula in the dorm and just about crawled out of my skin. But pretty soon I warmed up to it and maybe even got a little attached. We began by putting him in a garbage bin; only after we tried squirting it with water. Notice the water droplets on its back. Before I knew it I was letting it crawl around on my hands. This is actually quite strange considering I am terrified of spiders. hmm. Track and Field Day. The Softball Throw was a big hit too.

Gott nytt år på er! Gott nytt år på er! Hoppas ni fick ett mysigt nyårsfirande. Vi har absolut haft det mysigt. Vi började med middag ute på restaurang,. Men delar av min mans släkt. Sen åkte vi hem. Efter det kom några kompisar/familj kom över för att fira nyår tillsammans med oss. Eftersom våra barn är så små så orkar dom inte vara uppe längre än till 20.00 max. Så efter att vi ätit så smällde vi lite raketer och sen gick vi hem o la barnen. Det blev mycket skratt och en skön start på det nya året.
