What's Up with the McKinney's? Friday, October 28, 2011. Happy Halloween. Eli's Birthday Dinner. We have been celebrating Eli's birthday all week. He turned 3 today and this year has been so exciting now that he can grasp the concept of birthdays and all the festivities that go with it. I wanted to do something special ON his actual birthday so while I was at work today, I had a genius last-minute plan to whip up some Pinterest. What's Up with the McKinney's? Monday, April 18, 2011. I finally gave the home-made play-dough a try. I had posted a while back about how much we love play-dough in our house, and the dilemma that Mabry thinks it might be food (In her defense, most of what we make out of it is food-like and it probably doesn't help for her to be in her high-chair). A buddy suggested we try cooking some at home ourselves. I used her recipe. Eli enjoyed making a colorful snowman, but Mr. Snowman didn't survive very long.

What's Up with the McKinney's? Tuesday, June 28, 2011. 10 Fun for Boys. Eli has a fascination with "hooks." He loves tow trucks, trailers, and hooking all sorts of stuff together (dressers, doorknobs, toys, cabinets.everything! I did remove a few small parts that I was afraid Sissy might get a hold of and try to eat, but I would say this was pretty kid-friendly overall. What's Up with the McKinney's? Saturday, February 16, 2013. Annie Sloan Paint Take Two. Ignore the beautiful backdrop of these photos (haha, I kid). I really don't think photos do this piece justice.I just want you to know that it was super ugly before so you won't be mad that I painted a collectible (arguably) piece of art pottery. What's Up with the McKinney's? Friday, September 2, 2011. Ok, He is almost 3, so he may technically be a pre-schooler, but that wouldn't have been a very catchy title.Eli had his first triathlon race and did awesome! I wasn't there to see it in person but Daddy was sweet enough to make sure mommy got photos! Eli made Shawn change his shirt before they left the house so that they could match. Call me cheesy, but having a mini-me seems like an awesome idea. I love you, Eli. Mommy is so proud of you!
