There were 3 adults (Carolyn was at work) and 12 kids (Mcartney, Cortlin, Trayle, Haley, Ry, Maissie, Jen, Mac, Logan, Brinley, and the twins). It may have been a little crazy. But it was fun. It is beautiful there - we don't see that much green down in our desert! It was so much fun to just be outside a lot of the time and enjoy time with Grandma! Monday, June 29, 2009. Derek raced in this year's Salem Triathlon on May 30. It is a fun race to go do because Salem is so close to where Derek's parents live and it is beautiful in the spring! Last years race got rained out so this year we were hoping for great weather and we got it! It was a beautiful morning for the race and Derek did well! We (I) were happy that he wasn't ailing for very long afterward! It's no fun to hear whining over self inflicted pain! Way to go Derek! We are proud of you!

Actually it's just about the right size for Ben and I to take care of. Ben was so excited when we got to pull radishes a couple of weeks ago. (He even tried one- it was hot until I peeled the red skin off.). Yesterday he got to use a KNIFE to cut squash. What is it with boys and kinves? Here's our little garden! Visiting Old Friends and Making New Ones. Nice Ears Em :).

Monday, July 26, 2010. We had swimming lessons! Baby Sister loved the water; I couldn't get her to climb out to practice getting out of the pool. She would just get mad and push to get back in. Big Brother wasn't so sure he liked jumping in the deep end of the pool, but liked everything else. On our last trip out to the Bay Area, we took the kids to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Ben and Sofi both loved looking at the fish. Sofi was more willing to smile for a photo, while we had to catch Ben off guard.
