The Jessie James Gang: Cue "Man From Snowy River" music
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2011/09/cue-man-from-snowy-river-music.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Cue "Man From Snowy River" music. I'm afraid that if I narrated these pictures, more than one person would be embarrassed, so I'll just let them speak for themselves. He's pretty much a stud. Posted by The Jessie James Gang. Oh, I like these pictures :) I so wish to have access to open land (.and a horse) - just open space to enjoy. September 28, 2011 at 9:51 PM. The Jessie James Gang: Theia's Home Birth
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2009/02/theias-home-birth.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. I am finally getting around to posting Theia's. Birth story. I said over six months ago that I would do this, but haven't felt very motivated till now since I knew it would take awhile. I'm sorry its so long. But not as sorry as I was at the time, I assure you. I had been having borderline high blood pressure and a lot of swelling at my last two prenatals. But Monday wore on, I continued having ho-hum contractions at 8 to 10 minute intervals, went for a 2 mile walk. A birth st...

The Jessie James Gang: Emeth's Birth Story
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2010/12/emeths-birth-story.html
Thursday, January 6, 2011. Ever since we made the decision to make the 19 hour drive to Michigan for the birth of our fourth child, we have felt peaceful about it, for our part, but certainly found it a little awkward to explain our plans to the general public, especially to curious strangers or "barely" acquaintances. At times I felt that people must have thought we were trying to turn baby-making into an extreme sport. A few hours after lunch I was very surprised to discover that I had THE. As we walke...

The Jessie James Gang: It's a family thing
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2011/09/its-family-thing.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. It's a family thing. One of the greatest highlights of our trip was the almost daily riding that took place. Jessie's little sister, Joy, has two horses. She bought Misty several years ago, and discovered months later that Misty was with foal! What a deal - two for the price of one! On a horse, he would have laughed in your face. Someday I hope we can have horses again, or at least be involved with horses regularly in some way, but for now it is just a joy to see him combini...

The Jessie James Gang: ye olde facebook statuses
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2012/03/ye-olde-facebook-statuses.html
Friday, March 9, 2012. Ye olde facebook statuses. Doing dishes at sink. Small boy saunters into room carrying a framed picture from my side table. Casually reaches up to grab a full cup of water off my kitchen table. Wiping up mess. Small boy is slapping the puddle happily. He smells suspicious. This is what I get for installing child locks on all my kitchen cupboards and drawers. Theia just informed me that she is going to help "un-dust" the living room. Eliza just made me a card with a picture of a zoo...

The Jessie James Gang: Ingrid's Birth Story
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2008/08/walk-in-park-or-ingrids-birth-story.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. My Labor Day started pretty much like any other day on this babymoon. Except that I quickly noticed that my contractions were rather closer to regular than they had been thus far. But, this being our vacation, and already having a busy day planned, I opted to ignore this fact. By the time we got to the beach with the girls and my mom and brothers, they had grown in strength and frequency, but not quite enough to spoil my last chance to dig in the sand with my girls. She didn't...

The Jessie James Gang: May 2011
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 28, 2011. Panera-ish Creamy Tomato Soup. Inexplicably, it was one of the foods which suddenly seemed abhorrent to me during the first trimester of my last pregnancy. So it was shelved for a respectful amount of time in order to purge my soul of all first trimester prejudices, and has only recently enjoyed a revival in our house. Pregnant women are insane. Here it is in all it's oh-so-much-better-than-Campbells glory. The green you see is basil pesto stirred in (recommend! Here is the recipe:.

The Jessie James Gang: August 2011
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. Posted by The Jessie James Gang. Posted by The Jessie James Gang. Posted by The Jessie James Gang. Thursday, August 25, 2011. I realize that most of you don't come here to see random items of furniture I have desecrated, so I will keep this short and sweet. I bought $5 antique drop leaf table at garage sale. Then I completely destroyed my dining room for a few days (I do not work fast). And ended up with this. Which I then hauled outside to take pictures. He's the kind of guy.

The Jessie James Gang: Eliza's Birth Story - Just because I have birth, and Eliza on the mind.
http://jessie-james-gang.blogspot.com/2008/08/elizas-birth-story-just-because-i-have.html
Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Eliza's Birth Story - Just because I have birth, and Eliza on the mind. I thought I would post this today since I am gearing up my mind and body for another birth very soon. If I could choose what this birth will be like, I would definitely choose Eliza's. At least if I have another Theia-like labor I will know from past experience that I can. That really shifted me into active labor. After that point I never had any contractions that were less than four minutes apart. And Jessi...
