Sharing the Journey: August 2010
http://thebontragerstory.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 28, 2010. These are the kind of days I will remember forever. Days when the blessing of a grandma, mother-in-law and mom come together to help with a big project that would be overwhelming for me to do myself. So thankful for their help and so thankful for the joy they brought to our home that day. I wish I could bottle up the wonderful smell of apples cooking on the stove that filled my house that day. So thankful for how they love on my children and are eager to hold them. You have bri...

Monday, February 22, 2010. Riviera Maya with my Valentine. Well, here they finally are.photos of our romantic get away vacation that we took a couple weeks ago. It really feels like it was all a dream and I just sit here and smile when I think about the wonderful sweet memories of this trip that we felt so blessed to be a part of. We arrived in Mexico on Thursday, February 11th. Our hotel picked us up at the airport in this limo. We took a 20 minute boat trip to a small Mexican town called Puerto Morelos.

Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Deacon's one-year photos were taken recently. I hired a photographer this time instead of taking them myself. So nice to sit back and let someone else take them instead of me.although I still love it. She did a wonderful job. His personality was captured so well. When we got there, he was shy.clinging to his mama with a tight grip. The above photo shows his apprehension so well. LOL. The more photos she took, the more he relaxed and we even got some smiles after awhile. :). He pl...

Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Shuttle Take-Off and Beach Vacation. The guys got up early on Monday morning of our vacation to travel to the Kennedy Space Center to watch shuttle Discovery take off into space. It sounded like everyone had the same idea and traffic made it impossible to get there on time for the take-off. They were 40 miles away, pulled over and were still able to get a pretty good view. Enjoying the beautiful Florida sunset with my honey. :). Swim time with the cousins. Our condo had a beaut...

Sharing the Journey: January 2010

Tuesday, January 26, 2010. You can roll from your tummy to your back. I found your first tooth exactly on your five month birthday. You woke up with. A sleepy smile that. Crept across your face. A little tooth had finally. You know who your mama is and lock eyes with me when someone else is holding you. You're eating cereal, vegetables and fruits three times a day and a bottle before bed. You wake up in the morning between 7 and 8. When 8pm comes around, you're done.ready for your bed. Hurts, negative in...

Friday, January 7, 2011. The day you were born. We arrived at the hospital and I was escorted by wheelchair to the room where I would deliver my son 10 1/2 hours later. My coach gives the best foot massages. The epidural immediately gave me relief from the intensity of the contractions and I was feeling so much better.thinking to myself, now I can relax and enjoy the rest of my labor. Here's Kevin updating his status on Facebook once again. I started dilating quickly going from 4cm to 7cm to 9.5cm. They ...

Monday, November 15, 2010. Eight months and counting. This month was a flurry of activity. I took nesting up a notch.cleaning and organizing everything! Kevin just laughed at me. I felt the need to stock everything up.let's just say we have enough toilet paper to last a very long time. :) I've also been cooking up a storm.putting extra leftovers in the freezer for later when I don't have the time or feel like cooking. Thirty-five week ultrasound showed a growing baby boy with chubbier cheeks. Me: What el...

Sharing the Journey: September 2010

Monday, September 27, 2010. Right before our eyes. She's growing up right before our eyes. Kaiya learned to ride her bike without training wheels late this summer. This photo is quite funny to me. Luca decided to walk right in her path and Kaiya was inches from running her over. Daddy and Caedmon are frantically watching from behind. Luca is oblivious. Thankfully Kaiya just missed her sister and all was well. :). Thankful to see all smiles instead of tears in this photo. :). She loves her grandparents.
